Bottom line, host Joe Scarborough said, is that if Supreme Court makes a decision, thats the law of land, right?
You have to go with it, Mr. Trump said. The decisions been made, and that is the law of the land.
She can take a pass and let somebody else in the office do it in terms of religious, so you know, its a very
tough situation, but we are a nation, as I said yesterday, were a nation of laws, he said. And I was talking about borders and I was talking about other things, but you know, it applies to this, also, and the Supreme Court has ruled."

Of course she’s being targeted they want to make an example out of her.
I heard though that her lawyer said she would be willing to walk away from this if her name was just removed from the certificates. This seems like a reasonable request of true. And if possible.
Does anyone know if this is true and possible?
One of the queers at the Ky Clerks office replied,
Youre telling us that we dont deserve the same rights as you do, that you have, that youve enjoyed your entire life? Moore asked.
See, he can only say this because the government is in the marriage business.
Get GOVERNMENT out the marriage business and their is NO discrimination.
How? Eleminate marriage, or more specifically GOVERNMENT “marriage”, for ALL.
Replace GOVERNMENT “marriage” with a civil union agreement.
God fearing folks can have an additional ceremony and be married before the eyes of God.
Otherwise, the queers and pervs will keep crying discrimination. take away GOVERNMENT “marriage” and you disarm the left.
Use Seperation of Church against them the left. If you can not have a nativity at a government facility. Then Government can not force a church to marry two men.
Thank you for explaining that I have grown tired of explaining again and again. I think I’ll just cut and paste your excellent explanation from now on.
Because by law her signature must be on each and every marriage license issued from her office. It is a signature of approval. She doesn't approve.
I get the feeling she originally decided not to issue due to religious objections, and her lawyer came up with that argument after the fact.
Her lawyer has never even attempted to make that argument. I don't know why. That is the first argument I would have made. If he had made that argument, then his client would likely not be in jail..... yet.
As many have pointed out, these laws are intricately crafted and cover the entire area of marriage and family and inheritance and obligations, etc., etc.
That law was struck down. We don’t know how much of it was based upon man/woman marriage in its logic, intent, funding, etc.
The state of Kentucky must rewrite the entire law. The old law is void, and Kentucky needs to rewrite the provisions. They might change the tax sections, the divorce sections, etc.
Personally, I think this is a extremely valid argument.
Well, go figure....
Lefties are blaming Trump for Kim Davis’ actions...Trump has emboldened crazies like Kim Davis, is what they are saying (all over social media).
Has KY law been struck down? Can someone show me where this is documented?
Or is it rather that portions of it are now unenforceable due to their being unconsitutional?
Serious question. We seem to have two different understandings of what has happened.
Can you demonstrate this?
seperation = separation. But you knew that.:)
I want a president that goes after these lawless judges and has them all removed, replaced and in some cases jailed for their usurpation of the power of the PEOPLE and the constitution.
Which President has ever removed all of SCOTUS?
No. They are holding to the Religious liberty argument based on the Kentucky law that requires her signature to be on each Marriage License issued by her office.
However the fact that they are not making that argument does not mean the statute still exists. It doesn't. In that sense her religious objection is even stronger. The State and Court are trying to force her to sign off on illegal marriage licenses.
Why don't these fags just declare themselves married and shut the Hell up? Because they are at war with GOD.
I doubt you find everything your income taxes get used for by the Feds to be in agreement with your morality. And I bet you still pay because its the law.
Trump is right, for now. Sorry. Everyone, and I include myself, is disappointed, but not surprised that 4 liberal justices and one who has always been sympathetic to the ‘queer class’ decided that homosexuals are a minority and deserve the protection of law and equal rights. They have also ruled that the crucial parts of the ‘Defense of Marriage Act’ are unconstitutional. Deal with it like adults fellas. The lady in Kentucky has every right to ‘civil disobedience’, (and that’s what it is) to highlight the issue. Civil disobedience on a massive scale however would not reverse the legal process. The only way that marriage will ever be legally defined as ‘between a man and a woman’ in the country again would be through an amendment to the constitution, which is not going to happen when you consider the demographics, the support for and promotion of LGBT in the media and educational system, and the Federal bureaucracy. Or, perhaps, a few states could try seceding again. Donald is smart. He wants to get elected. We can’t be dumb enough to ask him to die for what is, unfortunately, a lost cause. The problem here is that absolute moral judgements, not backed by the authority of divinity are just strong opinions. And, in the court of public opinion and in the court of law the opinion that gays should be denied marriage benefits has lost; and we no longer have a majority of people in this country who are committed to the absolute authority of the God revealed in the Bible. If you want to turn this country around in a moral sense... get off of Trump and get on your knees. In the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley is a Bible that he treasured and got from his mother. In it’s glass case the book is opened and verses are underlined... they read...
“...if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chron 7:14
I haven’t thought about each and every one. But this one, yes. Consider it akin to jury nullification. Please note I wrote “akin.” Not “a twin.”
The “destroy Trump at all costs” thinks they have their killing issue.
Just like all the other things Trump has said that were supposed to be “the end” this one won’t leave a mark either.
Did you know our taxes go to fund La Raza? They are federally funded. Just like PP :(
BTTT.
Unless the Kentucky marriage laws were passed with a saving clause indicating that if any portion of the law was declared unconstitutional that the rest of the law passed as part of that package would remain in effect, then the entire statute was struck down by the Supreme Court.
The Kentucky marriage laws were obviously passed before this became a habit of legislatures. So if that clause isn't there, then Kentucky and every other state which prohibited homosexual marriage is currently operating without any marriage laws.
"The guy has the ability to turn this country around and drag it from the economic toilet, but on an issue that doesnt affect the live of 95% of the people on this board, that has ZERO impact on economic stability or national safety, lets dump him for someone polling at 7%."
One issue?
Religious freedom is a pretty big issue, genius.
You are wrong that this issue doesn't affect 95% of the people on this board. It affects 100% of the people in this nation.
