But the one thing he woke up the idiots. So far the GOP is so full of shi! that maybe the entire party be trashed after Trump gets elected.
To: conservative98
I will be totally pledging my allegiance to the Republican Party, and the conservative principles for which it stands." So, he's pledged allegiance to a party that everyone knows does not stand for conservative principles.
Well, that's a good thing for him and the GOPe, I guess.
For the country and for conservatism, not so much.

You think he’s been a Republican in office before then?

"Trump signs pledge not to run as independent in 2016"Irrelevant. If the GOP picks a RINO nominee, regardless of whether Trump is a third party candidate or not, the RINO nominee will lose.

Trump supporters believe that lying is his great strength
- lying - to be in a horizontal, recumbent, or prostrate position ...
That's the best ya' got?

I always knew the RNC would never give him the nod. And i also know they’ll never give it to Cruz either. Jeb is the anointed one.
Do you think the RNC has changed their minds on destroying Trump? Do you think they’ll allow DT to throw a wrench in the gravy train works? Trump’s an outsider. A rich one, but an outsider. The Bush family have had their nose in the GOP for decades. The Bush family IS the Establishment.
Donald Trump will not get the nomination, regardless of his popularity. He may be asked to take a VP spot, but I don’t see The Donald playing second fiddle to anyone.
He did have a choice. To go Independent. And he should have made the move weeks ago.

If they (the Republican establishment) reneges, he can renege too.He did repeat often that he wouldn't run third party if the Republicans played fair. Did his legal teams tell him the Republicans would be breaking an oral contract if they turn on him?

He isn’t lying about his sudden changes on all of the issues, he’s showing his flexibility. Flexibility > sticking to your beliefs. Look at all of the great leaders of America: Mitt Romney, John Kerry, etc. All showed they were flexible!

"I will be totally pledging my allegiance to the Republican Party, and the conservative principles for which it stands." And when the G(iving) O(bama) P(ower) party swings Left (as predictable as the tides), Trump can claim breach of faith, breach of contract, and flip Reince the bird.

Anyone know where to find the exact wording of the pledge?
To: Kenny
How enforceable is Trump's pledge anyway? Republican leadership plays dirty, at least against their own. If the GOP-e screws Trump, he can accuse them of reneging on the deal and running on a third party ticket. If he has about 30 percent of the primary vote, and he walks out, he could well take his followers with him. The RINOs rack up their third consecutive Presidential loss, especially embarrassing as they will be running against Hillary Clinton or possibly Joe Biden, both deeply flawed candidates.
To: usual suspect
So did I. I think Trump was making fun of it - because it is rather juvenile. However, he got tons of press coverage for this childish pledge.

I would write in Donald Trump for President, with or without his encouragement, if Jeb Bush is the GOP nominee. (Not if Cruz was though.) I’m done voting for the least of two evils.

Donald Trump will not get the nomination, regardless of his popularity.
Please explain HOW that will happen, because right now, he's far in the lead, no one else even close. Voters pick the candidate, not the GOP leadership (the way the rules are now). So what's gonna change?
Is Jeb suddenly gonna turn it on with voters? Is the GOP suddenly gonna change the rules so 75% of delegates are selected by them?
How?
