The headline from Investors Business Daily on their own poll uses the word shock Shock Poll: 59% Back Trump On Deportation of Illegals. But as Jared Peterson wrote on these pages yesterday, for the last two years Rasmussen polling has demonstrated a huge gap between the overwhelming majority of Americans and the political establishment of the GOP on immigration policy. The IBD polling, which mentions mandatory deportation, reinforces this stunning disconnect between politicians and the people they supposedly serve, a chasm that Donald Trump has spotted and used to his huge advantage. IBD editorializes:
The latest IBD/TIPP Poll asked 913 adults coast to coast if they "support or oppose mandatory deportation of illegal immigrants in the U.S." Not surprisingly, 87% of Trump supporters back the proposal. What's surprising is that 59% of the overall public does as well. Mandatory deportation gets majority support in all age groups except 18-24, every income group, among both women and men, at every level of educational achievement, and in rural, urban and suburban regions.
More interesting still is the fact that 64% of independents and 55% of moderates support deportation.

Another “No sh!t, Sherlock” moment brought to you by the “shocked” media elite.
But, but, but all of the mediots were laughing at Trump over the weekend and mocking what it would cost? How do you win w/o the precious Mexican vote?
Pray America is waking
This is significant, in that it shows a lot of democrats think that Trump is right. If (big if) this translates to votes, Trump would win the general election in an historic land slide.
As for that guess... The liberal elite exist in this cloistered, fanciful, incestuous world. They really only accept ideas from each other that align with their own ideas and ideals. They've spun themselves so far away from reality that when something like this comes along that is obvious to you and me...they find it "shocking." {snort}
Here's another shocker for you libtards and any lib lurkers out there. We routinely get great laughs at your idiocy. Not laughing with you, laughing at you. You are so amazingly out-of-touch in your self-aggrandizing, quasi-intellectual world you can't even comprehend how foolish you look/sound to the rest of us. Keep it up though, entertainment is where you find it.
You’ll never go broke betting on the liberal capacity for tEh StUpIdZ.
“asked 913 adults coast to coast “
And the fact their usual liberal bastions of reliable push polling turned against the current truth is what shocked the pollsters so thoroughly.
Simply enforcing the laws against the hiring of illegals would go a long ways towards removing a large proportion of the illegals.. Some physical force will be necessary and citizens should be trained in picking them up.

Will Reince Priebus, Paul Ryan, Lindsay Grahamnesty, Jebbie Bush, Juan McCain, John Kasich, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio, and Jeff Flake run with this?
I wouldn’t be surprised if widespread dissemination of this poll caused some of the illegals to self-deport.
So, a majority of Americans support enforcing our laws.
I highly doubt that all legal US citizens who immigrated from Mexico are in favor of amnesty and allowing illegal immigration. On the other hand, those who came here illegally and who are now voters (e.g. citizenship via previous amnesty, illegal voting, etc.) are going to support the party that supports illegal immigration. No one should become a US voter via this route.
Ending remittances would work even faster. End welfare of all kinds for illegals and their anchor babies and watch them self deport. The howls from the governments of the various coun tries from which these scofflaws come would be music to my ears.
won’t see this Poll on Faux News
Oh my.
A Yuge majority supports Trumps forced deportations.
Yes...I have thought that also
for nation that claims to be a country of law - why are so many so quick to embrace unlawfulness.
Now we know why the little commie, Jorge Ramos is so worked up over Donald Trump.
