futures - Finviz
Global markets are getting smoked again.
Dow futures are down 315 points, S&P 500 futures are down 40 points, and Nasdaq futures are down 93 points.
It's a bloodbath in Europe, with Britain's FTSE, Germany's DAX, France's CAC 40, and Spain's IBEX all down by more than 2%.
Asian markets closed deep in the red, with Japan's Nikkei plunging 3.8%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng falling 2.2%, and China's Shanghai Composite tumbling 1.3%.
Here's a quick roundup of the key headlines we've gotten since US markets closed on Monday.

I heard that guy on “Coast to Coast” last night.
He said a rate increase would stimulate the market, and the Dow could reach 25,000 - 30,000!
I turned off the radio after saying WTF?

How come Africa never gets overrun?

I do worry that we may have a repeat of the 1930's: severe economic malaise and increased political extremism that only leads to one thing: a general world war.
Harry Dent in his last few books prophesized that the period between 2015 and 2018 will be a time of increased world war risk (because war becomes the newest instrument of economic policy); if we can survive this without getting into a world war, from 2020 to 2030, it will be a repeat of the 1980's as we begin the transition away from petroleum.

You’ve got yourself quite a flight of fancy there, Ray. There is no way we escape war here. The only question is when it will happen.

I heard that fool spout that and turned it off as well.
One I don’t like is Catherine Austin Phipps. She impresses me as a snake in the grass. Noory should stop having her on.

I think the only reason why we haven't had a general world war since 1945 is the threat of the use of nuclear weapons. Also, unlike the 1930's, we didn't have two countries engaged in warmongering and actual military action on a large scale (Germany and Japan); there is fear of regional conflicts, though.

They keep calling this a “correction” in the mainstream media, but it has a feel of 2008 about it.

If I’m reading your graphs correctly: Current and past copper usage indicates our current economy is stagnant and portends a future economy in a continuing manufacturing funk.
And that’s the good outlook :(
