In 2012, then-Mayor Michael Bloomberg gave Donald Trump control of a $236 million public golf course at Ferry Point and threw in a slew of giveaways that include a low revenue-sharing plan with the city and free water. No other city golf course enjoys these perks.

How many ways do you spell sweetheart deal?
Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg apparently wasnt satisfied with simply handing Donald Trump control over one of the most expensive public golf courses ever built in this country the new $236 million, 18-hole Parks Department course scheduled to open next spring at Ferry Point Park in the Bronx.
Bloombergs aides quietly added a slew of financial giveaways in the 2012 deal with The Donald that no other city golf course concessionaire enjoys, a Daily News review of Parks Department golf contracts has found.
Those giveaways include: no concession fees for four years; then decades of extraordinarily low revenue-sharing with the city; tens of millions of gallons of free water annually; even a five-year delay for Trump to build a $10 million clubhouse, his only major capital investment in the project.
Start with the greens fees, the basic charge for a round of golf; virtually all of the citys existing 13 public golf courses charge $48 per person during weekend peak hours, higher for non-city residents.
But the new Trump National Golf Course at Ferry Point plans to charge nearly three times as much $125 per person.
Trumps split of revenues with the city, however, will be far less than all other courses.

Hosepipe should take a very close look at Trump. Not from a right/left perspective but from a business perspective. Remember when Mayor Marxist duh Blasio said New Yorrk City would cancel all contracts and never ever do business with Trump again?
Well, well, it looks like Businessman Trump has had the last laugh:
http://www.newsday.com/news/new-york/city-hall-new-york-city-can-t-break-its-trump-contracts-1.10757847
A mayoral analysis of hundreds of millions of dollars in New York City contracts with developer and presidential candidate Donald Trump concluded that the city could not legally terminate the relationship over his comments about Mexicans that officials deemed offensive.
We reviewed the city's existing contracts with Donald Trump and found no legal way to cancel these contracts, Monica Klein, a spokeswoman for Mayor Bill de Blasio, said Thursday. In the future, however, the mayor said he would not go out of his way to do any business with Mr. Trump.
It seems it would behoove Hosepipe to find out who Trump would hire to clean out DC. It seems Trump has hired damn good negotiators/contract lawyers. Would Trump's business skills transfer to the presidency? Just about a month ago Trump explained to the audience that flexibility is the key to a deal making. It's like going to war, No battle plan survives contact with the enemy.
The question is, would Trump get rid of or streamline (through attrition) the the Department of (Un)Education, the EPA, the Department of (Non)Energy, Department of No Agriculture, the IRS etc.? Would Trump get rid of all the left wingunts Obama has hired in all the agencies under Obama including the DOJ? Also, Trump is asking for tax advice from Lafer and Forbes. Will Trump follow through?

I'm keeping an open mind (heck, it's 15 months before the election).
Only to a moron.
Go take your Thorazine.
Exactly, which is quite different from a Dictator; didums !

I know all about TRUMPS business accumen.....
And I appreciate it.. also some of what he says about the GOPe.. and rarely democrats.. but sometimes..
It’s just THAT... I want him nowhere near the OVAL Office..
Maybe in the Cabinet where he can be watched and prosecuted if any thing you know “ILLEGAL” happens..
Like backroom “DEALS” and stuff.. which Cruz would hang his ass out like butchered deer..
President NO WAY...
Maybe after he PROVES HIMSELF.. not until..
He’s a mystery man politically (as a republican)..
But NOT as a democrat..
I suggest CAUTION.... (with bells and whistles bass drums glockenspiels.. and flutes)..
Exactly, which is quite different from a Dictator; didums !
I think we could be friends. I love your subtle humor..
I’m a bit more direct... but some people like that..
Except TRUMP supporters. they like a more laid back kind of fellow.. d;-)~....
Sorry you have no clue about what a dictator is....
or pray tell what the a “Dictator of the Proletariat” is..
Thats oK with me.. except it leaves YOU vulnerable to being a dictators.. Serf..
WHich you already are... ME TOO.. but, alas, I don’t like it..
Trump is more conservative than most of the Republican party.
TRUMP is a RINO .. rinos are NOT conservatives..
That is IF he’s not a democrat dressed in Tea Party clothing..
My Bwahaha was addressed to GeronL, not you.
You are in my boat.
Again......that word comes down directly from the Latin and ancient Roman history. A "classical" education is wonderful thing; too bad you don't have one and are too pathetic to get one on your own.
Unlike you, I also know people who lived under and escaped from living under a dictator; though sadly, we are sort of living under one right now. I also know people who lived under the old USSR Commie rule.
I am not a serf; however, if you're going to start quoting Hyeck at me...save your breathe.
I am not a serf; however, if you’re going to start quoting Hayek at me...save your breathe.
DAMN... I was all ready too.. pretty crafty headed me off at the pass..
$125 a round is not exorbitant in some areas - down here in MS I have paid $85 for a round and the cost of living is a bit lower.
All this shows is that Trump is a competent and trusted business man who folks will go out of their way to please if it means getting his involvement.
GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up Trump!
PS - has anything ever been done "off your back"? Who do you donate to - it's one thing to oppose someone but it is a far better thing to then actually back someone. FR has lots of links for you to make yourself useful with for its support and this URL will take you right to a place to donate to Cruz:

Don't be a nickcarraway and make a lot of gaseous noise without doing something positive - it makes you seem like a community organizer.
Good authority says I’m not only great at snarking, but that I can quickly determine that white and off-white are not at different ends of the color spectrum.
The fact that you wanted to conflate “democracy” into the primary issue, while ignoring the fundamental issue, indicates that you knew you were wrong, but too obstinate to admit it.
And for the record, we do have a democratic process. We elect our representatives. Sometimes we even have true democracy when we vote on referendums. Democratic election is the method by which our representative, constitutional republic functions.
It’s so tiring, trying to get shallow thinkers, who only know a handful of arguments that they feel compelled to fit all situations, to reexamine what they’ve been instructed to regurgitate.
The Left-right political spectrum came from Britain, where MPs voted by walking out the left door or right door. The American elite, especially in the media, liked the phraseology, so they impressed it. Eventually the Left became solidly associated with socialism, the Right was never well defined other than being opposition to the Left.
During the 20s and 30s, Soviet Communism was a darling of the Left and it became accepted as Far Left. Academia also started to use the notion of the Left-Right spectrum in the 30s, but it wasn’t common.
When the evils and destruction of communism started to become well known, the Left had a PR problem. Academia and the media needed a bogeyman of equal weight to balance the spectrum, so they took the NAZI and shoved them onto the poltical special trump at the far end from the Soviets. It’s completely illogical, but it served their purpose. If they couldn’t rehabilitate communism, they would at least frighten people from moving away from it.
Your regurgitation of Progressive propaganda from the 1950s proves that you can remember what you have been taught. I’m challenging you to reject that crap and place all repressive governments at one end of the spectrum and individual freedom at the other.
The best way to picture the political spectrum is as a many sided pyramid. The peak is total individual freedom. Each side is a different type of governmental system, with the bases being total state control. To slopes of the various sides vary and gravity plays the part of human nature. A Constutional Republic has a shallow slope, while fascism and communism have steep slopes. Theoretically, you could have individual freedom in those system but the slope makes it highly unlikely.
Now, if you can get over your butt hurt, you’ll understand that the Left-Right, Communist-Nazi spectrum is just a Progressive political tool.
I wonder if we adjusted Trump’s wealth, by removing all the gains from crony capitalism, how much would be left?
Of course, Rump-lovers will tell us that real estate is totally intertwined with government and that is why Trump has had to work such deals.
But, isn’t that the PROBLEM with this nation? Government is intertwined with too many things!
Why is government involved in a golf course?! Where is that in the constitution?
Is a man who made billions from crony capitalism the right man to end it?
Any smart private citizen would take a sweetheart deal offered by an incompetent government official.
Good authority says Im not only great at snarking,
LoL
Very good points...
Seems many teenagers have become Freepers..
Listen to RAP smoke a joint get on FR.. display their DUHS..
heck to a teenager TRUMP would be an Action Hero..
Ted Cruz merely an official Democrat despiser..
Oh... my bad!
At least I am always polite, so no harm, no foul! FRegards!
