It was a rarity that Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump didnt appear on Sundays morning talk shows, but his presence was felt nonetheless, prompting the other GOP candidates to make the case that they remain relevant despite sagging support.
Introducing Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, NBCs Meet the Press host Chuck Todd summarized the mood of the GOP race this past week: [Mr. Walker] was supposed to be the favorite in the race for some, the conservative Republican from a blue state, who beat the unions and got things done. But like so many of the Republican candidates right now, Walker has been swept away by the Trump storm.
Mr. Walker responded that in October 2007, President Barack Obama was running far behind Hillary Clinton, and went on to win. I think the biggest spark for us is getting the message out that nows not the time to put in place someone who hasnt been tested before.
Mr. Walker repeatedly denied that Mr. Trumps success has caused him to shift gears: In recent days, hes been criticized for moving to the right of his past positions on issues like same-sex marriage, the death penalty, and immigration.

Well then you’re going to love this one:
“We will make sure that our enemies fear us a little bit”.
LOL, you saved me from having to find that sound-byte.
I’m surprised they let him out of the house without a muzzle.
There is a third option. Ratings.
I sincerely hope you choose the latter. In the words of the immortal sponge, Well, good luck with that".
I don’t care.
Trump is a liberal buffoon. fact!
I am not compromising my conservative principles to support the Moron and his foreign suits.
Repost. Your html skills are about the same as mine :)
(Tried to post pic but didnt work)
Awesome. Thanks.
He was busy doing something more important...attending the Barclays Golf Tournament at the Plainfield Country Club.
Cruz is great, but lacks the charisma it takes nowadays to win a national election. Sad, but true.
It was ironic. I saw that yesterday, thought it was cool & saved it. Then saw your “Capt. America” post today. Synchro.. ;)
That wouldn’t be a bad ticket for me.
Reminds me of some scientists who have spent their lives supporting a theory (writing papers and books or teaching), only to see it challenged. They go into full attack mode, sometimes ruining careers of open-minded scientists.
A few years later when the new theory is proven correct, they say, "Big deal. That was known YEARS ago."
Well, yes.
But even with that, if they’re truly as committed to their cause as we think they are and if they honestly believed Trump could get elected and ruin or wreck everything they believe in, I would think even ratings would take a back seat.
I mean, perhaps not. Many of them probably don’t really have much in the way of true core principles. They just parrot everything they’ve been conditioned to believe in.
