Sure having a strong up front born again conservative President would be great but I am not concerned about Trump’s faith. First it is a strong man of action we need in the WH who can’t be bought and who is promising good conservative policies. We are not voting for Pastor of America but President of America.
Second Trump is very pro Christian and I believe he will actually do something about the stripping away of the Christian foundation of the nation not just talk about it like others.
Third Trump may well be a Christian and his comments may reflect a different way of speaking about his walk with God than the way you and I would speak about it. Only God knows his heart. We know what he is doing and promising and that is most refreshing to hear someone finally say what Trump is saying and not backing down to anyone. I have never seen anyone handle the scum media and GOPe bosses the way he does.
I have hope once again that will be a President who can reverse what has happened to this country, someone with enough inner strength to actually do what has to be done not just half way measures and excuses why they can’t right now.

With many of the things Reagan said, he either had a very sincere faith in Christ or he faked it extraordinarily well. George Washington had a sincere faith in Christ. Besides, Carter is a poor example. Rush is exactly right. All those people are leftists first and foremost.
Yes we should be praying for Trump and all our leaders, even Obama. Imagine if Obama had a God encounter and was born again and saw everything from a Christian prospective. God can turn anything to good. All that is wrong in America is to some degree because of a church that is not seeking and following God as it should.
Verse 13 is often left out when verse 14 is spoken of.
2 Chron 7: 13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.
When God’s PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY HIS NAME humble ourselves....pray...seek God...turn from our wicked ways, not when the unbelievers do these things.
Sorry to preach just felt the urge. Without God’s hand, no politics or politician will change anything to good. And I know I am preaching too the choir (the Christian FReeper choir).

Trump is a liberal. He’s saying this stuff because it’s selling. He won’t make America great, he won’t reverse the march of progressivism, and he won’t make all your wildest dreams come true. There is more than enough evidence for this.

These guys need to put down a job description for their conservative designation so we know what they are talking about...We can't just assume any more...

You nailed it. Trump is not giving a speech - he is talking to people - like having a conversation. That is why politicians with their prepared lines come off stale next to him.

My assumption is Cruz won’t be nominated, though he WOULD be the best President.
