I find it the height of irony that a party which espouses small government would want to unleash a massive government effort, which might include national guard and others, to go and literally pull people out of their homes and their workplaces, round them up and, I don't know, put them in buses or boxcars, in order to take them across the border.

There is no need to round anybody up. No one has suggested it either.

• Deport illegal aliens on contact with LE.
• Vigorously enforce the law on employers of illegal aliens.
• Build a border fence, use high-tech surveillance and fund adequate personnel to maintain security.
• Eliminate entitlements for illegal aliens.
• End the "anchor baby" policy.

Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves and pay for the trip.
