Chlorine gas?
Meth House gone toxic.
Meth lab or bomb factory?
Seems like this should be a big story, at least until they find out what it is.
NEVER, NEVER mix ammonia and chlorine. It won’t help get your toilet any cleaner and you just might be charged with using WMDs. Of course we’d have to check with mr. valerie plame to see if you had them or not. Once his tea break is over.
Doesn’t seem like that from the police investigation, though that was my first thought too.
If the woman revives maybe she will know about something that was not still on the scene when help arrived.
My other guess would be they were making Ricin. Just a guess, mind you.
I worked in a pulp plant and I’ve been dosed a bunch with noxious gases. Sulfur dioxide is a near clear gas that will blow you out if you walk into a cloud. Pure chlorine gas you can see, and there are some pine byproduct liquids/vapors that are noxious. Not to mention all the other chemicals used to make high quality pulp.
That's an awfully long-winded way of saying "meth lab."
My guess: this story will not be reported on any further. At least not nationally.
For some reason news items regarding the most curious of matters will pop up once — and then never be seen again.
Bad Kimchi.
Have you seen this?
Ah, nothing in the world like the aroma of Black Liqour. It permeates your body and you can’t wash the lovely smell off.
From the names of the victims, it could be.
But that’s not that ‘mysterious’, authorities should be able to determine the cause fairly quickly.
Esp. if there are plenty of evidence that they were in the process of cleaning, and with buckets of both agents on hand close by.
HAZMAT scene rule of thumb. The hot zone/warm zone border is where the cop is laying.
I doubt it was a meth lab.
“The two men were identified Friday morning as 53-year-old Hong Kyqkim and 83-year-old John Tae Kim, according to the medical examiner’s office.”
Victims:The Cook County medical examiner’s office listed their names as Hong Kyqkim, 53, and John Tae Kim, 83. They both lived in the townhouse in the 9400 block of Harrison Street where the emergency was called around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
A chemical used in a nail salon?
From another article:
A source said a car in the garage had its ignition on with a dead battery. There was apparently an empty slow cooker in the kitchen, where an unknown substance looked like it had burned away.
