The apparent alliance between Senator Ted Cruz and businessman Donald Trump both candidates for the Republican nomination for president will be on full display soon: the two will hold an anti-Iran deal rally together. CNN reports:
Presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are planning to rally together on the grounds of the Capitol to call on members of Congress to defeat the catastrophic Iran nuclear deal, Cruzs campaign said Thursday.
The Texas senator said in a tweet that he was glad that @realDonaldTrump accepted my invitation, an invitation confirmed by event organizers.
Cruzs announcement came a few hours after Trump announced in a speech in South Carolina that he expected to do an Iran event with Cruz, predicting it would draw a tremendous crowd.
Although many Republicans have distanced themselves from Trump, Cruz has done the opposite. He has defended the eccentric billionaire throughout the campaign and even praised him for his outspokenness. Hes also a big fan of Trumps willingness to make enemies in order to speak the truth about Americas failing immigration policies and the massive problems its creating.

The two men have several things in common. One of them is that both are extremely critical of the deal Obama has struck with Iran. Cruz has vowed to shred it to pieces on the first day he becomes president. Trump hasnt gone that far he says hell just strictly police it but its clear that he too believes that the White House has set a dangerous precedent by doing business with Irans radical mullahs who, on several occasions, have said they want to wipe Israel off the map.

Awesome!
These two are my dream team—in either order.
If anyone thinks this is simply playing politics, they’re wrong. This Iran thing is utterly dangerous and irresponsible, and could easily end the world as we know it in a matter of years - or even months.
Cruz and Trump are emerging as statesmen, imo. They both are a cut above. Vote accordingly.
Full disclosure: I am still a Bobby Jindal supporter and believe he can play a vital role as Chief Executive, Veep, Cabinet member, or head of a major alphabet agency.
As the true conservative, Cruz should be the headliner. Trump can be his pitbull.
THIS is the message I was waiting for.
Hold onto your seats...it’s going to be an exciting ride.
Someone earlier suggested inviting Chuck You Schumer. Great idea. It would lend “bi-partisanship” and Chucky would know better than to bash any conservative/Republican with the Trumpster standing in the wings to pound him as the final act.
I agree with what you are saying—but Trump has more money, so he will probably be the front runner ...
The more the better. Invite all candidates on both sides as a litmus test.
Inside scoop is that iYeb wouldn't commit unless he was promised free tickets on the rides and a snow cone.
Date for this?
I believe its September 9th at the steps of the Capital. Trump will bring in the Press and Crowds, Cruz the Tea Party. Others should be their—Where is Huckster? Where is Rand Paul? It will be good TV.
