Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are planning to appear together at an upcoming Capitol Hill rally against the proposed nuclear deal with Iran.
Trump announced the event during an appearance Thursday in South Carolina, saying it would be "in the next few weeks."
Cruz aides confirmed Trump's statement. They say that the Texas senator invited Trump to join him at an event sponsored by Tea Party Patriots, the Center for Security Policy and the Zionist Organization of America.
Congress is expected to begin debate on the accord when lawmakers return from recess Sept. 8
Trump, who leads most polls of GOP primary voters, called Cruz a "nice guy."
Cruz has declined to criticize the front-runner for his controversial comments on immigration or any other topic.

More importantly, it will up the attendance for an anti-Iran protest, by a lot.

Sounds like Trump dropped bomb too soon based on reaction from Team Cruz (wanting to make sure its reported that its Cruz’s idea). It will be a wild affair. No matter.
What would be really great is if Menendez who Obama is trying to indite because he bucked Obama on this bad Iran deal showed up. This deal cannot be killed by GOP alone, and there are several Jewish Senators who need a fire placed under their asses.
I really like these joint appearances, joint statements. This will tear up the opposition better than jalapenos and habaneros...if you know what I mean.

The persistent increase in Trump’s popularity this early has me thinking that it will have a knock on effect, bringing TEA party and other conservative candidates to slap down gaunlets in the GOP primaries. GOP-E might not like those open primaries so much any more.
Good for Cruz - good for Trump... Good for the United States, the World, and Israel...
Very bad for Kerry, Obama and crazy Iranian mullahs...

Actually, I would be happy to see the Cruz team include not only Trump, but also Ben Carson. Talk about a united trio of TWO top polling outsiders with an outcast conservative TEXAS senator, and you’ve got a grassroots MACHINE HAPPENING.
