Halloween retailer Spirit Halloween, which previously defended its decision to sell a costume inspired by Bruce Jenner’s gender transition, caved to pressure from LGBT groups, and pulled the costume from its website Wednesday.
The “Call Me Caitlyn Unisex Adult Costume,” which satirizes the former Olympian’s likeness, as seen on the cover of the July issue of Vanity Fair, sparked outrage online Tuesday, with Twitter users and LGBT advocates describing it as “transphobic.”
Some of those upset by the costume also made violent threats toward anyone considering going as the transgender TV star.
A Change.org petition demanding Spirit Costumes pull the ensemble, expressed concerns it would continue the company’s “oppressive tradition with a transphobic costume of Caitlyn Jenner.”
“To make a costume out of a marginalized identity reduces that person and community to a stereotype for privileged people to abuse. In this case, if you follow through with production of a Caitlyn Jenner costume, cisgender people will purchase it to make fun of her and our community,” the petition reads.

Looking like Bruce Jenner charading as a female is a little too scary.
And when they have their hissy fit and criticize cisgender people, they expect us at know what the made up word cisgender means.
Well, it WAS pretty hideous and scary.
And here I thought the freak LGBT mob would have been the ones promoting this idea for this costume to “celebrate” the acceptance of Caitlin “Don’t call me Bruce” Jenner. They don’t even make sense using their own twisted and evil logic.
How did homosexuals and the LGBT peoples get such power in our culture?,, Here we see that they have veto power over Halloween costumes. How is it that they have such power ???
Why would allegedly tolerant LGBT peoples make violent threats? Isn’t that a contradiction in terms?

There is so much outrage and so little of what there really ought to be when it comes to transenglish made up words, and general lgbtqrstunvwxyz manure. Remaining comments self censored.
Caving to the PC crowd is the problem. The way to fight this is come up with hundreds of costumes making fun of the transgender crowd.
