If Trump stoops to such irrational rhetoric, can’t let by gones be by gones, he won’t be able to survive day to day management of the WH. I like most of his positions, but this comment drops him down a peg or two in my eyes.

I agree. He’s able to highlight effectively some important issues. But then, due to his vanity, he gets into these bouts of name calling, pettiness, and scorched earth approach to others that is neither necessary or dignified. It’s little wonder he’s been married three times. His temperament seems like that of a professional wrestler or an adolescent with hurt feelings out to get revenge. He seems not to understand that the Highest Office in the land has an expectation higher than a vulgarian.

If some of the posts in this thread are to be believed (and I tend to believe this), Kelly made a fresh error, in the form or misrepresenting Trump or one of his positions, as part of discussion with a guest on her program. I would not characterize that as a by gone.
I happen to have no problem with Trump responding, but I can respect those who feel that responding to incessant press errors is not presidential. Partly in Trump's defense, he's not president, and I think it is fine for a candidate to show more public elbows than a president would. He's fighting for the job, not presently holding it.

civility and gentility had absolutely nothing do to our 08 and 12 losses. Enough of our people didn’t vote in those elections, in essence saying they preferred Obama to Romney, to swing the election to the left side.
Cruz’s poll numbers will only go up as time goes on and serious conservatives rally around a man with the intellect, grace, dignity, and sincere conservative convictions to be president. Cruz doesn’t engage in Trump’s professional wrestler approach to campaigning not because he doesn’t care about the issues or won’t fight the GOPe, but because he’s got enough intellectual firepower and debating skills that he doesn’t have to call people a “loser” if they’re not on board with the ideas Trump just recently embraced when he decided the could take over the Republican party.

Thanks.. no problem.. the invective has all the effect of the proverbial water off a duck's back. Eventually the catharsis of hearing Trump shout back to his detractors has to give way to serious policy discussion. I'm not willing to jump onto the bandwagon of a candidate whose policy positions -- and party affiliations -- flip and flop like a bass in a jon boat.

The primary reason the MSM continually goes after Republicans is that Pubbies don’t fight back. Trump’s approach has been sorely lacking on the Republican side and is one of the main reasons for his popularity.
Make it unpleasant for the presstitutes—call them out, don’t accept their premises, challenge their assertions, hold them up to ridicule—they’ll back off pretty quick.
