Donald Trump relaunched his bitter war of words with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly Monday night, blasting her return to the air after an unexpected hiatus.

“I liked The Kelly File much better without @megynkelly,” Trump tweeted. “Perhaps she could take another eleven day unscheduled vacation!”

The Republican candidate’s critique of Kelly was the latest in a revenge campaign since the two clashed over the GOP presidential debate on Aug . 6

He tuned in Monday night to attack her return to the anchor desk.

And yet the ratings don’t seem to agree with you.

Welcome the Twitter culture of 2015.

For some reason, some of the posters want to act the way Obama’s supporters act. They think it’s great to support their candidate by being sophomoric.

Some FReepers think the more boorish Trump is the more he represents them.

I just can’t see the upside to dragging this feud out. He doesn’t need to call more attention to her. He needs to up the onslaught on the democrats and weak ass republicans. There’s no point have great ideas with no spine to back them up.

Kelly is just a distraction. He put her in her place. Case closed.

Yeah, trump should roll over like GW Bush or Mitt Romney. Sit there grinning like a fool eunuch while the Media slaps you around. Yeah that’s the ticket....

If Meygan Kelly looked like Sandy Crowley, she’d be doing the traffic report in Parkersburg WVA.

Yeah, you’re right. The problem we’ve had with not winning is our candidates don’t get into enough late night twitter fights with minor TV celebrities about non issues that prove we’re just as vile as the media. That’s been the real reason we are losing. We’re not acting like Obama robots enough either loyal to what ever stupid thing the Great Leader does. Trump is acting like Charlie Sheen and we need to go along with that as the way to win the Presidency.

Bill Clinton used to take on Rush Limbaugh. Obama's taken his swipes at Rush, too. Trump's approach to Kelly shows that he's still got Democrat manners in his behavior.

Whut you drinkin', Willis?

Anything to get her promotion. The rumor said she was given her current time slot if she agreed to cut off her relationship Sounded like almost a stalking situation. Peculiar. Wonder what she had on others in higher positions ?!?!?

Trump is fighting these people using their own rules against them. The old rules say “GOP is polite and civil”. That never works for us. Gloves off!

In the overall scheme of things, a Tweet is considered a trivial response to a now trivial matter. That is, merely a remark in passing

Were it really serious, the rebuke would have been verbal

Part of the Donald’s message is that the medium is the message and Tweet is not a formal message. He is setting the Presidential tone

Okay, vote for your usual GOPe groveling simps that “govern” so well, like say Mitt Romney, or Mitch McConnell, and other shining examples of rugged, solid conservatism.

Rest of us have moved on. It ain’t 1976 anymore.

Setting the Presidential tone with “bimbo.” Got it. Doggone it, I forget.. everything Trump says is a missive of brilliance.

Just that the nagging thought of an insecure narcissist at the levers of power tends to be a bit disconcerting. But then.. we’ve survived 7 years of Obama, so.. “what difference at this point does it make,” right?
