The MSM including Fox don’t even allow the name Cruz to be mentioned.

Cruz 2016.
There really isn’t any other choice that makes sense.

Ben Domenech sent a flutter through conservative Twitter this weekend with this tweet. Ted Cruz, the great tea-party hope, a favorite for the nomination
I didn’t even know who this Ben Dominech guy was, so I looked him up.
Lessee....he’s a founder of RedState (no thanks) and is publisher of The Federalist...who happens to be churning out Trump hit pieces, as fast as they can say “Fear!”....so, again, no thanks.
Allahpundit just squeezing up to his establishment friends, again.

We really should get past this. With the economic crisis as it's evolving, Trump's the only one who makes sense as President. It's not Cruz's forte. Four years more in the US Senate would be a good thing for Cruz.
Besides that, if Trump isn't the candidate, there's a good chance we'll get Biden/Warren.

Trump, Bush, and Cruz have the dough.
So they’re likely the guys with the most staying power.
Bush’s path to victory (Dems crossing over in primaries) won’t work if there is a competitive Dem primary fight.

“Cruz, in other words, may become a sort of compromise candidate whose nomination can heal the party, sort of”
That doesn’t sound promising.

Wishful thinking. RCP average has Cruz tied for 5th-6th place with Rubio (7.3%), behind Trump (22%). Bush in second (10,7%), Carson and Walker in single digits. As for the “TEA party favorite” that’s now clearly Trump. Finally the GOPe will never support Cruz. If he somehow ever did win the nomination they would do everything they could to make sure he loses.

Ted Cruz has always been the front runner. He’s ten steps ahead of everyone, including the polls—— they’ll catch up ex post facto.

If you think, as Ive argued here, that Trumpmania is more of a populist and anti-illegal-immigration phenomenon than it is an ideological phenomenon... They STILL don't get it.
Trump is about FAR MORE than just illegal alien invaders.

Cruz only has a chance if Bush is thouroughly annihilated and Trump would stumble. Otherwise, in my not so humble oppinion, he has staying power and negotiating power.
