BERLIN (Reuters) - At least 31 German police officers were hurt in scuffles with about 600 protesters, many hurling bottles and stones, angry about the arrival of asylum seekers in an eastern German town in the early hours of Saturday, police said.

In one of the country's biggest demonstrations against the influx of refugees, police in Heidenau, near Dresden, used pepper spray on right-wing demonstrators who were trying to stop busloads of asylum seekers reach their accommodation.

The outbreak of violence by right-wing radicals followed a peaceful demonstration of some 1,000 people against the roughly 250 refugees, said police.

"In the end, the police brought the situation under control. The buses with the asylum seekers were led to the ... shelter," Dresden police said in a statement.

About 3 weeks from now, the first snow will fall on the local mountain tops. Night time temps will drop to subfreezing levels. The transients will leave. We have no shelters for transients. There has been snow in recent years all the way into Israel. You can bet the Syrians have seen it a time or two. It was a short lived novelty. Not so in South Dakota. It's a months long reality. Those who can't survive on the economy or have government subsidized lodging that is suitable for the environment are going to leave or die.

Here, for instance, I learned this: CSI promotes the fact that Twin Falls has a cracker-jack medical system including a Tuberculosis Clinic! Wow! So that means Twin Falls can take a bunch of the refugees entering the US with TB (yes, they are permitted entry!) while some other town can’t.

Twin Falls is home to an adult tertiary care hospital, a tuberculosis clinic, a renal dialysis clinic, and a dental clinic. Clients can also access transplant and rehabilitation services.

Guess who pays for all of that medical care for refugees?

Every bit of this is about money (humanitarian mumbo-jumbo is the cover). Now the trick will be to figure out who in Idaho benefits the most!
