CBS NEWS August 22, 2015 Chris Christie: "Don't Worry," I'll Be On Top Stage In Next Debate
When the next Republican presidential debate airs in September, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie promises that he'll appear on the first debate stage, where only the top 10 GOP hopefuls will be able to make their case.
"I'll be on the first stage," Christie told "Face the Nation" moderator John Dickerson in an interview to air Sunday. "So don't worry about it."
September's Republican debates, hosted by CNN, will feature two stages. One-half will comprise only the top 10 candidates "according to public polling." The other half will include any candidate with more than 1 percent in the polls. (snip)
In the latest CBS News poll among Republicans, the New Jersey governor placed ninth, with only 3 percent of GOP voters throwing their support behind him.

Get back in line at Krispy Kreeme doughnut boy.
I’m surprised donut boy has 3%.....
Chris, it’s more likely you’ll have eaten the stage.
It scares me when a candidate promises he’ll be there in the end. McCain did it when he was down and out. So did Kerry. They said it like they KNEW the outcome.
Chris, when people didn’t know you and they heard you speaking like a conservative they were drawn to you. But then we found out you weren’t really a conservative. And so it goes.
...and if not will he please quit.
He might be. Neither Trump nor Bush is going to make it, and you know that the GOP will then want a back-up loser establishment candidate, and Christie sure fits the bill. I think that’s why he hasn’t dropped out yet.
There are some very good candidates this year...Jindal, Fiorina, Cruz, etc. But as usual, none of them will get any attention and we’ll be stuck with another loser.
on top of the Buffet line.
Can it hold his weight is the question?
“A man’s got to know his limitations.”
If he were to become prez we would need to get a C-5 Galaxy to be AF One.
Let’s hear it for
Mr. Donut who has bridged his way
to be Obama’s goto guy in the GOP
when the OrangeCrybaby is not around.
...fetching the donuts & coffee for the contenders.
Ain’t happening. I don’t think Christie ever really recovered from Bridgegate (or whatever it was called). Add in a fairly liberal position on the 2nd Amendment and a few other things, and the plain ol’ fact that his shtick has gotten old, and you have a perfectly washed up candidate.
All that said, I wouldn’t be entirely opposed to finding a place for Christie in a GOP administration. He did some very good work as the U.S. Attorney in NJ. He could be an asset in the right role. Just nowhere near the presidential ticket.
Don't cry Mr. Krispy, I'll sit this one out with you.
Someone tell him to give Obama another hug and he might be there!
No one wants you or anyone like you, Crispy.
If we want people who can work with Democrats, we’ll be sure to elect Democrats, so please keep your giant, stupid looking face off my TV screen, kthx.
Your crystal ball seems broke.
