Donald Trump Won’t Eat Oreos Ever Again Since Nabisco is Moving to Mexico

Presidential candidate Donald Trump hosted an event last night in Alabama that saw between 18,000 and 20,000-plus people in attendance.

Roll tide, apparently.

During his speech, “the Donald” mentioned how he is a big fan of Oreo cookies, but will refuse to ever eat them again since Nabisco plans on moving to Mexico.

From The Blaze:

“You know, Mexico is the new China,” Trump told the crowd, referencing the recent decision by Nabisco to move its factories there.

“I love Oreos. I’ll never eat them again. Okay? I’ll never eat them again,” Trump said. “No, Nabisco closes the plant, they just announced a couple of days ago, in Chicago and they are moving the plant to Mexico. Now, why?”

“I don’t blame China. I respect them,” Trump said. “I’m not angry at them. I’m angry at our leaders for being so stupid. I’m not angry at China.”

Oreos — more specifically, Nabisco — caused the ire of the billionaire presidential contender after the company announced its decision not to invest the $130 million for a factory upgrade and will move production across the county’s southern border into Mexico. Nabisco also recently shut down its Philadelphia factory in an effort to expand factories in Virginia and New Jersey, although union members believe their jobs will eventually be outsourced to Mexico as well.

You know things are bad when American workers fear losing their jobs to outsourcing in order for the company to employ cheap laborers.

He’s not wrong about China. What the communist nation is doing is capitalizing on the weakness of current American leaders. They’re taking advantage of a flaw in our highly liberal system that disincentivizes making money.

What would be great about a Trump presidency is that he will not kowtow to any foreign land, and will always put the American people first. There won’t be an Obama-like Middle East apology tour under Trump, that’s for certain.

But what if the sugar price support people are in cahoots with the Mexicans getting these manufacturing plants and jobs?

What if international firms provide money to lobby to keep sugar high in the US.

Gee maybe Alabama would have loved to have that factory.

But our gloBULList captains of industry, that illustrious lot, probably never considered a R-T-W state. No, just go straight for the third world.

I hope the board of directors choke on their crappy Oreo's and they all croak..

True. It’s ok for the orientals to obstruct US business there, but if we do it, it will start a price war, catastrophe, end of the world, etc.

Textile and Furniture industries were not Union, but were some of the first to go when outsourcing started.

The republicans take the middle class for granted like the democrats take the african-americans for granted.

Would Oreo come back if Trump solved the sugar tariff issues?

And I will humbly add solve the right to work problem. I know everyone is high on Trump majically using the federal government's coercive powers to save US jobs. But, as your questions eludes to, is Trump going to address real issues that cause production to be moved oversees? If not, then one must assume that he supports the cronyism of selective tariffs, unionism and regulation and will just add another phony federal rule that pretends to help American Business/Worker.

True. And because of that 54 million Christians stayed home the last election.

“Cruz roared to the audience, packed into a cavernous ballroom in downtown Des Moines. To cheers, he continued, “It is because 54 million evangelical Christians stayed home [in 2012]. Well I’m here to tell you, we will stay home no longer.””

Trump realizes we need to lower the corporate tax and is promoting doing just that.

Dear Mr. Trump,
before you blame Nabisco too much for moving their Oreo plant to Mexico,
consider that the main ingredient of the cookies is Sugar..
and look at the administration’s sugar tariffs, regulations

and you (as a businessman) will see right away ... how WashingtonDC is forcing Nabisco to move its factory out of USA

Funny thing the price of furniture has not really gone down either. But the US Taxpayer got left holding the bag for thousands of "displaced" workers. The word "displaced" means welfare EBT and new socialists.

I’ve heard, read and learned a lot about ‘sugar’ in my few years on the planet.

It’s just another tick mark on the list of the ways that our government looks out for our welfare and individual prosperity. (/S)

It’s difficult to resist the socialist temptation of the slippery slope of a wealth tax....

But I do (and have a life style to show for it, gladly!)

Best way to keep American businesses here and bring over Asian, European etc businesses is to lower all corporate taxes & end tariffs.

Its good when The US dominates the world market. Tariffs & taxes won’t get us there.

Actually my Mom burnt the edges of some chocolate chip cookies once, and I liked it better with that dark, burnt taste and the melted chocolate, so when I had a yen I would deliberately char them smoking hot. Ice cream makes it extravagant.

I suppose you could share it with someone. Gr. Mine. No, mine.

I would say after 1913, the end of tariffs, was the dawn of socialism in America. So you have it exactly backwards.

Kraft moved the Lifesaver plant to Canada in 2002. Brach's moved to Mexico, Hershey's manufactures there too.

Ya, but we saved 500 jobs in Florida!!!!!! I mean, we saved a large political donor in Florida
