Tens of thousands of people turned out in Mobile, Ala. on Friday night for a pep rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The event had been planned to be held at the nearby Civic Center venue in Mobile -- seating capacity 1,950 -- but was moved to the 43,000-seat Ladd-Peebles Stadium to accommodate what Trump campaign organizers anticipated to be a very large crowd.
Just how large is still somewhat unclear. The official crowd estimate released by the city of Mobile on Friday night was 30,000.

Kinda noticeable that no one is mentioning the live stream on the event. I rarely watch those things...but I did. I like the man. He has smarts and wisdom and guts.
Fox's "Master Chef" program doctored their audience photo to make it look like there was a huge crowd. Unfortunately, it blew up in their face:
Hint: When you're cloning parts of the audience, don't clone a lady wearing orange...
Not a lotta pure Castellan Spanish in that crowd. LOL!
The look on the mom's face---Donald caressing her baby--
-and her baby touching Donald's hand----all so precious.
This isn’t the largest. Didn’t you hear Bernie Sanders put 65,000 into a convention center that could only handle 15,000? CNN marveled at the way the bodies were crammed in.
Population of Trumps Mobile Al 195,000.
Now play with the stats....and do a little reality check along the way.
One thing to remember is there have been severe afternoon and evening thunderstorms every day here in Alabama. That probably really cut down attendance. I know I thought about going down there (I’m just south of Montgomery) but thought better of it because it was outside. Alabama thunderstorms can be really bad with lightning.
...according to reports yesterday it was official "turn style" count from the City of Mobile....so no fudge factor here.
Wow . Total blasphemy. People are now turning their back on G-d for this idol.
The first thing I thought of when looking at her, was the tabloid sensation “bat-boy”.
Plus, he should include in his response a comment along the lines of...”In the real business world, we have to use real numbers.”
“...according to reports yesterday”
Fantastic! Starting to see a bit about that since reading this post. Still lots reporting 20,000, including Breitbart.
Anyone know of a place that reports streaming numbers? Haven’t found anything yet. Would be interesting to see the numbers.
Agree.
Plus it was Friday evening and I understand first football game for many high schools. As important as football is in that area, that had to have had an impact on attendance. Admission was also free - wonder how many people got a ticket just in case and then ended up watching from their home.
Seems like ICE could have just shown up at this gathering, loaded all the attendees on school buses and shuttled them to the Mexico border. Ripe fruit ready for the pickin’.
Couple of my friends work for a company whose acronym is ICE. Every now and then they put on their caps and jackets with the logo, put on their official face, carry their hand held radios and go into stores like Home Depot and Wal-Mart then laugh at how many people change their mind about following them in or shopping there.
Oh...that was YOU from the Netherlands! :-)
I was watching n Fox10 from Oregon.
I would think that another network, after the outrage over the inquisition....errr...debate, would be getting a plan together to steal away the conservative viewers who have been Fox’s bread and butter. Fox is taking us for granted now that they seem comfortable to lean left.
Thunderstorms can be lethal here on The Jersey Shore too. At least once every summer we have some knuckelhead getting zapped because they didn’t heed a lifeguards warning to get out of the ocean when a thunderstorm was approaching.
