After telling an NBC reporter unambiguously that he supported ending birthright citizenship, Scott Walker on Friday changed his mind, saying his new position is that he has no position, that he is now undecided again. He's saying that this isn't a reversal, merely that he misspoke because he was tired.
How do you misspeak support for ending birthright citizenship? Look at this video where he is clearly asked whether he would end it, and Walker says, "Yeah, absolutely." No ambiguity there. This is not a minor, technical issue. This is not a slip of the tongue. Scott Walker was clearly saying last week that he supported ending the mechanism that creates anchor babies. Now he's changed his mind. Here's his position on the issue for August 21st:
Im not taking a position one way or the other, Walker said in an interview with CNBCs John Harwood. Im saying that until you secure the border and enforce the laws, any discussion about anything else is really looking past the very things we have to do.

He did this waffling on the marriage issue, too.
I called Walker out early on his establishment ties and him being the backup to Jeb. This was before Rush was having his Walkergasms...
Keep Cruzin’
She’s tired.
Well Mr Walker you are going to be tired when you get that 3am call. You gotta make a decision and then you cannot backtrack it.
No, you are not President material.
Same here. Although he has gone through fire and come out a winner. He is correct that the first thing to do is secure the border. I do favor ending birthright citizenship.
Same here - he seems to be trying "the Romney Approach". He's throwing money away on his "advisors"...
And another one bites the dust ...
Rubio took himself out a couple of days ago with his remark that anchor babies were humans too, each having their own story.
Extraordinarily interesting that pressure from the fearless Trump have exposed most of the GOP lot as nothing but quivering puddles of jello.
“You mean were not CRAZIES after all ??????????????????”
LOL! Yeah, turns out we’re simply good at sniffing out jello puddles right before they go all squishy.
First Rubio and now Walker. Quite frankly, this is excellent news that these frightened little men are collapsing into puddles of jello this early in the game, clearing the deck for the few remaining real men to duke it out.
Walker is a nice guy and is good as the Wisconsin governor, but he is wacked out a the national stage.
And we are donors to him.
Ah, yes, I see the grade school contingent has weighed in.
Democrats run a liar and possible a traitor and we trash one of our own for something this minor?
Gimme a break...
******************************************************************************************************
“something this minor?” Jeez, something that is helping destroy the fabric of our nation is “this minor”? Sorry, this is a litmus test with me to indicate core beliefs. Ted Cruz and Donald Trump both want to eliminate this birthright citizenship for anyone other than citizens and LEGAL residents. Illegal aliens, birth tourists and folks “just passing through” don’t qualify. Their spawn will be citizens of whatever cesspool the mother is a citizen of.
Walker has disqualified himself from my support and the support of many other constitutional conservatives and American patriots.
I think I see the first question Walker is going to be asked in the next “kommie mediafest to destroy the GOP candidates”, uh, I mean GOP “debates”:
This question is for Mr. [sic] Walker: Mr. Walker, you’ve stated that you’re opposed to birthright citizenship. You’ve also stated you’re undecided about birthright citizenship. Were you undecided BEFORE you opposed birthright citizenship, or were you opposed to birthright citizenship BEFORE you were undecided? And how is it that you can be undecided about such an important issue? None of the OTHER candidates are undecided, just you.
Bonus: I’m also already thinking up questions to help the “kommie mediafest to promote hillary”, uh, I mean Democrat “debates”:
This question is for Secretary of State [sic] Hillary Clinton: “Madam Secretary, Just exactly how heartless are the mean GOP bastids who are opposed to birthright citizenship, thereby denying these harmless and helpless baby humans the wonderful opportunities provided by our great and generous nation?
“Democrats run a liar and possible a traitor and we trash one of our own for something this minor?”
Continuous flip-flopping on important issues, especially on what is going to be THE MAJOR ISSUE this election cycle, proves a candidate has no principals or integrity, and exposes the candidate is simply one who wishes to be elected at any cost, and therefore is one who will be beholden to those who purchase his fealty via campaign “contributions”.
You know, just like ALL but a tiny handful of the GOP Congress. Which is why we have no actual opposition party to the Demokrat Kommie Party and why we have allowed our once great nation to reach the tipping point of falling irretrievably into a failing socialist quagmire of ever increasing poverty.
If it has saved one life, as Governors, Walker, Perry, hell even Christie have done in defunding Planned Parenthood, Jindal too, it’s a good thing.
Or, maybe success is just defined with words and no action.
