This Is from Xinhua, China's official news agency.

The message seems to be that if the South doesn't stop it's propaganda campaign against the Norks by 5PM local time Friday, (Early AM Saturday EST?) a "State of War" will exist.

No word on any troop movements by the North, but a couple of people I know in the ROK seem to be getting nervous.

does anyone have confidence in Obama, if Kim restarts the Korean War? Anyone have confidence that he will know what to do, and that he will take actions to repel the invasion??

Yes.

I have confidence that Obama will take the most evil action possible in any scenario.

Considering the “Response Plan” requires sending 690,000 U.S. troops, 160 Navy ships, and 1,600 aircraft, probably not.

Kim like most of our enemies, probably realizes he has a year left to fulfill grand-daddy’s plan before America gets competent leadership again.

Something interesting to wake to. Not the usual news about the rapid death of the West.

No. And he’s likely to let the American troops in SK go without support.

But then again a war between NK and SK would severely cripple SK. China would have a go at Taiwan to prevent any interference with the war. The US is weak as far as leadership. It would be in China’s favor. China could then rebuild NK in it’s own image while engaging in “talks” with the US about slowly withdrawing from Taiwan which would take decades.

Both times I was stationed there we “joked” that we were there to keep the South from invading the North. And that was over 30 years ago.

Not to be too self centered but will this affect service and parts on the 2016 Hyundai I just bought?

Depends on which model you bought. Most models of Hyundai are made in the US or Europe in addition to Korea. The only ones that aren’t that I recall are the Genesis (both coupe and sedan) and the Equus.

“On Aug. 4, two South Korean soldiers were maimed after the explosion of three wooden-box landmines, which South Korea claimed had been planted by DPRK forces.

The landmines were planted underneath a route on the south side of the demilitarized zone (DMZ) frequented by South Korean border guards.”

I am going out on a limb and say that this might have something that ; China, North Korea, Russia, and Iran are cooking up in light of the deal that was signed for advanced missiles that Russia sold to Iran.
