Redskins President Bruce Allen says the team will not change their name even if it prevents them from getting a new stadium, CBS Sports reported.
If changing the name Redskins would get them a new stadium, should the team change their name? one radio host asked another.
The flustered commentator responded, Wait again?
The host then rephrased the question: Their team president says they will not change their name should they do it?
No theyre not changing their name, the commentator said with certainty.
This came as no surprise as the team has been asked several times if they will change their name and logo, which depicts a Native American man with dark red skin and a feather in his hair.
The team, not willing to bow to the politically correct agenda, has refused time and time again and this threat of not getting a new stadium does not seem to affect President Bruce Allens stance on the issue.
It is always refreshing to see someone standing for what they believe in and getting the support they need. As the host and commentator discuss, they dont need the public money for the stadium and at the moment, there is not a need for a change of venue.
If that ever becomes the case, the will see about it then but based on who Bruce Allen is, I dont see him ever backing down on this issue.
OK then name them the Washington Confederates
PC is almost always pushed by a very tiny minority. They operate by intimidation. More times than not, they back down with direct confrontation.
Trump confronts them.
Good that the Redskins owner is refusing to give into the insanity.
MAD Magazine used to have a fictional NFL team called the Cheyenne Geldings.
That name would be more appropriate if they stayed in place:
The Washington GOP Geldings.
(Team cheer: "GO...Nads! NO! NADS!")
The Redskins play in MARYLAND. There’s a small town south of FedEx Field called Indian Head.
New name: Indian Head Redskins!!!!
“The San Diego Redskins.”
You got the San correct. More like the San Antonio Banditos.
It’s the right position.
Most of us around here ARE "Redskins", or at least "part redskin" those whose families have been here for more than a couple of generations, and I daresay we're pretty cool about it... most of us, anyway.
Yes, “Oklahoma City” literally translated means “City of the Red People”.
The Oklahoma City Redskins....
I know that St. Louis is not representative of the whole state, but you’ve got Gov. Nixon, a total cowardly shit, and Sen. Claire McCaskill, one sick puppy.
The diseases of liberalism and rioting are spreading.
PS I used to be a friend of the late Rep. Richard Ichord (D-Mo), a real gentleman in Congress, and a hard worker too.
Missouri already has an NFL team with an Indian name.
I know, and how cool it would be to have both the Chiefs and the Redskins?
Would the politically correct not sees be happy if the Redskins changed their name to the Elizabeth Warrens?
I’m going to break with the standard FR position on this; the Washington Redskins should change their name immediately.
They should move north to Savage, Maryland.
Here’s an idea...
and, it would be the ultimate comeback to the liberal political correctness crap...
The NFL has been playing around with football in Europe...
so...
if the Redskins were ‘forced’ to move, they should be moved to the UK or some other European location that would welcome them with open arms.
The politically correct crowd would be asking congress and the president to intervene, but, since it’s a business franchise, it would be up to the NFL to decide.
Rename them the Reagans and have a new mascot, the Gipper.
Or
Call them the Foreskins and drive the feminazis crazier than they are.
They should apologize for calling themselves the Redskins, move LA and change their name to the Wetbacks.
You are right. I have been to St Louis many times and it is a very fine city and I always enjoyed my stays there. What the main stream media wants everybody to believe is that Ferguson,MO represents all of the metro area and it doesn’t.
They should apologize for calling themselves the Redskins, move LA and change their name to the Wetbacks.
