Subway's Jared Fogle Faces Up to 12 Years on Sex Charges

Former Subway sandwich chain pitchman Jared Fogle pleaded guilty in federal court on Wednesday to charges of child pornography and traveling for illicit paid sex with minors.

Federal Judge Mark Dinsmore must now review a plea deal Fogle’s attorneys reached with prosecutors and decide whether to accept it. Fogle was released and must wear an electronic monitoring device pending his next court appearance.

Under the deal, Fogle would serve between five and 12 years in prison, pay $1.4 million in restitution to 14 minor victims, register as a sex offender and meet other conditions.

Common sense says they pull an IP report for hits which automatically means you downloaded some sort of content. But, if they know where to look for activity, know the activity is illegal, why can't they shut down the website?

I had hoped for his sake that he had inadvertently received child porn from Taylor and didn’t delete it or report Taylor after receiving it. The mere possession of the stuff (even inadvertently and without knowledge as to the age of the subject)is criminal.
