Hillary Rodham Clinton pledged that her 2016 campaign would be better than her 2008 campaign. And it has been.
She has hired the best and brightest of Democratic staffers. She has purposely downplayed her celebrity and has tried to personally connect with voters in Iowa and New Hampshire. She has focused on telling her personal story rather than trying to constantly answer the "is she tough enough to be commander in chief" question.
And yet, here we are. Clinton is in the midst of a full-scale Democratic freakout due to her faltering poll numbers and ongoing questions about how she has handled her private e-mail server. Joe Biden is considering running. Al Gore's name -- yes, Al Gore -- was even floated!
What gives? Increasingly, Democrats -- privately, of course -- have begun to wonder whether the problem is not the campaign but the candidate.
"She has always been awkward and uninspiring on the stump," said one senior Democratic consultant granted anonymity to candidly assess Clinton's candidacy. "Hillary has Bills baggage and now her own as secretary of state -- without Bills personality, eloquence or warmth."
That same consultant added that he expected Clinton to easily win the Democratic nomination despite her weaknesses. "None of her primary opponents this time are Obama," the consultant said. "Each lacks the skills, message and charisma to derail this train unless she implodes."

“unless she implodes.”
I wonder how that would be different than what has happened already.
On the positive side she hides money in a foundation with the best of them and knows how to go after women her husband attacked.
Maybe!????
Maybe she wasn’t a good First Lady, Senator or Secretary of State, either...
Her “power” worked so well for her in 2008......
...and she is even worse as a person.
Well duh. I mean I’ve seen worse but she’s just “meh”
Poor Hillary.
She couldn’t beat a young black Marxist/Socialist in 2008. Looks like she can’t even get past an old white Marxist/Socialist in 2015.
Well, I sure hope she does not implode before she collects her $2 billion.
And then implodes shortly thereafter.
A face made for radio, a voice made for the internet, but she can’t handle e-mail. What’s not to like?
She’s lost the support of WaPO, one of her most loyal (fawning) media sycophants. She’s done.
Maybe Hillary Clinton just isn’t a very good (pick a noun).
Always interesting to see how liberals prioritize things. Bad poll numbers is the worst thing to a liberal. That e-mail thingy is kinda important too, so it was tacked on to the end.
But no mention of compromised national security, Benghazi, giving uranium rights to Russia or slush funds
Her “discussion” with the BLM activist was horribly unhinged. The woman doesn’t have a grip on herself. I fear a public meltdown that’s not going to be pretty.
In a way Hillary reminds me of Edmund Muskie. She gets tons of endorsements from union officials and party hacks, and few in the general public like her. She’s been crowned the future Democratic nominee by the press twice now and it looks like she will be 0 for 2.
I doubt that’s enough to get someone elected to the Presidency. Hillary inspires no enthusiasm, and Presidential elections are decided based on enthusiasm.
That’s the incredible thing about being a Clinton.
You can implode over and over again, and yet remain in a position of power.
Democrat voters are not mentally capable of reasoning through things, so the democrap party uses odd techniques to energize their herd of fools. The Hillary will not be their 2016 candidate, but stupid democrats will not know that until their masters decide whom they want to put in at the last minute so the candidate is not exposed to much scrutiny. I predict John F Kerry will be the substitute, given the hype over his treacherous Iran nuke deal. The press will make him appear to be a savior of us all.
