Let's be absolutely clear Donald Trump is entirely the fault of a GOP establishment that lied to conservatives and refused to do what it promised it would do. Trump is no secret Machiavellian genius cunningly outmaneuvering his enemies from his super-classy Atlantic City volcano lair. He's a finger-to-the-wind charlatan who will say whatever he needs to say to maximize his own personal adulation. And he would still be merely a tiresome reality TV catch-phrase generator if the GOP establishment had not treated the rest of us like dirt.
Donald Trump will be beaten, but it sure as hell is not going to be the establishment that does it. Instead, it is hard-core conservatives like me and you who are getting out there and making the case that serious conservative renewal requires actual serious conservative candidates. You know, ones who never voted for Obama or gave money to Hillary conservatives who were conservative before conservatism was cool.

Captain Queeg in the movie, “Caine Mutiny”, ranted about the theft of strawberries, and played with ball bearings. So many of these commentators remind me of Queeg.
This idiot seems a little too confident that Trump wont win and that he and his ilk will stop him. Not likely considering the inane trash he writes.
Worse than that TRUMP could WIN.. to go on to make DEALS with the corruption in Washington D.C... Trump has been making corrupt deals all his life.. And by being more corrupt than the others.. Smarter more conniving..
Liberal or conservative he can make a deal.. Which is the very problem in Washington D.C. in the first place.. DEALS.. bribery.. under the table.. grease...
Trumps good at it... He’s right he could be the BEST POLITICIAN OF THEM ALL..
THE CALIGULA OF POLITICIANS.. The Nero of Gimme.. The Ceasar of getting things done.. (with corrupt bastards)
He knows to make deals.. under over beside or beneath the Table..
As I have watched Washington D.C. for Oh! too many years..
That is exactly what goes on there..
A little this for that..
WHICH by the way is WHY? the place is screwed up..
Corrupt beyond belief.. Sick.. Diseased.. Cancerous.. theft on a grand scale.. CORRUPT..
AND SOME idiot(s) WANT to send the Micheal Jordan of Grifters to FIX THINGS...
The Curly Howard of Yuck.. the Saul Alinsky of Crony Capitalists to unravel the latrine of corruption there..
HELLO..... ARE THEY NUTZ?..
I get what you are saying, but I still don’t trust Trump.
At least his link to Subdivison’s provided some good music.
I get what you are saying, but I still dont trust Trump.Ok, thanks for playing.
Trump has been making corrupt deals all his life.. And by being more corrupt than the others. There's always going to be someone not happy with the deal they AGREED TO but so far NOT ONE HAS COME FORWARD...would you care to share your inside information of Trump's corrupt dealings here with everyone?
It would do wonders for proving how good your word is.
When a person finds out s/he's been lied to, you never know if that someone is ever not lying.
He is on his third wife. He cheated on Ivanna for over five years, married her (forgot her name already), had a striking blonde daughter, they divorced, and he married the one he is with now, and they have a son, Barron, handsome kid, looks like his dad.
They may be nice enough women and mothers, but they are all young, sexy women. The second modelled swimsuits, soft porn if you will (only in my humble opinion), would be considered a knockout by some. I looked it up today, and it almost reminded me of Bill Clinton's taste in women, NOT his actions with them; Clinton is far worse imo.
Trump's present wife would make a stunning first lady (she's not a bleached blonde and seems like a loving wife and good mother); I'm glad they haven't trotted out their wives yet (at least in a big way; I did see Rand Paul's wife when he announced). I like what he says, but can he deliver?
Someone locally today said everyone should read "The Art of the Deal". It sounds brilliant. So he does have a lot to bring to the table. I will read book reviews about that on amazon tomorrow. Amazing what you can learn by reading book reviews if you can't read so many books.
I'm not against Trump; but I can't find myself being 100% for him. He is a charismatic, dynamic figure. I can't relate to him or his lifestyle nearly all his life, not just the money, the glitz and all that goes with it. Taking a limo to be screened for jury duty, parking his limo in no parking right in front, and given a pass lol. Maybe his driver should have circled the block or he could have taken a more modest automobile, not his style. The helicopter stunt was so enjoyable but I hope he doesn't do it too often. I was impressed, despite the chaos at that scene, that much care was spent on crowd and passenger safety (and it took some doing). Martha Raddatz seemed to be enjoying (and behaving) herself lol. I guess she's pretty even handed.
Tomorrow I plan to read more about what Bob Woodward says/writes about Hillary and also try to get to the bottom of whether Zeifman fired Hillary or not (snopes, more Dem shills imo, says no). He is a staunch Democrat and has an extreme distaste for Hillary. I was AWOL during Watergate; now I wonder if THAT was some elaborate conspiracy. I don't want to get into that too deeply but mostly Hillary's role in that (wrote a brief saying that Nixon should be denied counsel then allegedly stole and hid the documents stating a precedent for counsel during an impeachment. It is possible that it was one of the other bosses had the documents and she wasn't fired, but it all disbanded when Nixon resigned. I never liked him until I saw the Carpenters perform for him. What a switch! Hollywood and a Republican!
It really seems strange to have all these characters unmasked and how Hillary, in her limited role in the Watergate affair had the tables turned on her in the form of having her husband impeached.
Also neither here nor there, but there are truly Media Monsters out there. They have almost ALL bought and are still promulgating the Benghazi lies (if they are lies).
I really don't want Jeb but will the establishment Republicans nominate him? I guess they still have to come out on top at the convention.
Well, too much from me tonight, got on a roll finding interesting things to read.
would you care to share your inside information of Trump’s corrupt dealings here with everyone?
Sure.. He was a democrat.. ALL democrats are traitors.. for a hundred years maybe two hundred...
And he contributed to the campaigns of traitors.. dealt with other traitors on wholesale and retail way..
Being a TRAITOR himself.. he is now exactly an ex-traitor.. (probably)
Can a traitor redeem himself?.. not easily..
Reagan was a democrat.. was he a traitor at one point yes..
But he saw the light.. kind slow he was.. but he redeemed himself..
Happy knothead?..
That’s not at all what it’s saying.
you know, in addition to being so stupid as to be insulting on its face, this idea that everybody who is not in Trump’s camp is somehow an establishment mouthpiece is tiring. But mostly it’s intellectually vapid.
For my trouble, I've been accused of being a RINO, which totally ruined last weeks Georgetown cocktail party. There I was, comparing Dockers creases with David Brooks and drawing Touché Turtle caricatures of Mitch McConnell on Karl Roves whiteboard, when all of a sudden I start getting tweets about how Im figuratively and sometimes literally in bed with Jeb, conspiring to import millions of Mexicans and burn the POW-MIA flag. It made me so sad that I decided to drown my sorrows by doing shots of Glenlivet with John Boehner big mistake.
Is this funny haha or funny establishment? Bad satire/comedy?
His thesis is Trump won't be diminished by GOPe or media et al but by conservatives, like him. I guess conservatives who want to trash the front runner polled by a very large part of that portion of Americans who are tired of DC as usual? Conservatives whose respective candidates aren't doing well in the polls? Those conservatives who really aren't?
Like it or not, IMO there are three, maybe four up there on that slate who even come close to it. Cruz, Walker, possibly Carson, and the big unknown - Trump. We shouldn't be trashing them in every OP-ED, every article, TV spot or radio show. We ought to be about the business of squashing the biggest threat (GOPe backing and money), Jeb Bush! Squash his political aspirations right now, in the August sun, stomped like a fat stink bug. As for Graham, Rubio, Kasich, Christie and the rest - all that will work its way out like a rug remnant through a dog's hind end.

Your writing clarity may have momentarily left you. And your reading comprehension ability has definitely left you if you think that “this idea....mostly it’s intellectually vapid” is something that I said in my post to which you replied or in any of my other posts. Perhaps my post was simply a readily available target of opportunity standing in for someone else?
WTF? Was doing great then started peeing on our legs.
You know what he’s saying. He’s being told he doesn’t have conservative credentials for not supporting or at the very least not believing Trump can win.
Supporting Trump is not some sort of litmus test as to whether or not one is conservative. Theres no doubt about the illegal immigration issue. We all, including the writer agree with it.
Out of the rest of the field we have Cruz and possibly Walker. I was all in on Walker for at least a year before he announced but hes made plenty of conflicting statements. I don’t believe Carson is anywhere near ready although i think he’s a fine person with outstanding character.
By the way i live in NYC. I also lived in Stamford Ct 2 blocks from where Trump built a building. I went by it every day on my way to the city. Not sure any of those workers spoke English. So lets not play the purity game.
And, I’m say he is wasting his efforts and our time about Trump and what he is or isn’t. There are real threats on this slate right now. Jeb is the worst.
Trump, like poison oak — don’t scratch it. However he shakes out let him do it. If we get diverted from the Job One of stopping Bush, it won’t mean much in the long run.
>>Kurt Schlichter (Twitter: @KurtSchlichter) was personally recruited to write conservative commentary by Andrew Breitbart. He is a successful Los Angeles trial lawyer, a veteran with a masters in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, and A FORMER STAND-UP COMIC.<<
The material is there; the delivery isn’t.
and to be honest with you, that is scary as F*** !
It took me a while to figure it all out. Besides the fact that Trump is not beholden to his ‘backers’ because he is self-financed, the main reason I believe the ‘pundits’ and connected insiders are ‘ticked off’ at him and his campaign is because he won’t hire them. And if they don’t get hired by a campaign they don’t make any more money off of advertising buys and conducting ‘endless polls’
It ALWAYS comes down to the money.
All those 60 or so million illegals and legal immigrants vote for liberal policies and democrats and socialism(see what happened to California).
So that's they the USA has been moving to the left.
Thank God Trump finally got people talking about this .He changed the conversation around. Before the talk was all about different paths to citizenship
