The Trump Paradox
American Thinker ^ | 17 August 2015 | By Robert Gelinas

Posted on 08/17/2015 6:23:43 PM PDT by 11th_VA

The Washington chattering class is perplexed and bedeviled by a political alien by the name of Donald Trump, who just doesn’t have the good manners to die, no matter how hard they try to kill him. No, like The Terminator, he keeps on coming, advancing through the fusillade of snide and snarky bullets, oblivious to the ad hominem walls of fire in his path, and immune to their favorite weapon: rhetorical condescension and ridicule.

Yet, for some inexplicable reason, the more Trump is bashed the more people love him.

Why? He’s brash, not polished. He’s vulgar, not erudite. He’s a recent convert to the faith, not a lifetime conservative Republican. He’s politically incorrect, neither nuanced nor fluent in Orwellian doublethink. He’s even harsh at times to his adversaries, not disingenuously charming (like he who shall not be named).

Yet all those qualities seem to make him all the more endearing to many folks.

How can this be? ....

Divide and conquer is as old as the hills.

Oh the bloddy people up stream are bathing and pissing down the river screwing up our bathing place.
Enter the politician... “Let me vanquish your foes, They want war? we’ll give them bloody Red ! We will roll on through victory and victory

Then the same chappies sell you down river when some one complains you are now the one pissing down stream

I like your handle, gaijin.

TRUMP/CRUZ

Reagan had “it”.

Yeah, he did, but even Ronaldus Magnus didn't catch fire with the American people like this, so early in the campaign. Trump has simply created the kind of wave that hasn't been seen before in a national race. At least not by anyone living today.

We're witnessing history.

Me too. I lived in the Japanese islands during the mid fifties, then again in the mid sixties. Seems like another lifetime, it was so long ago.

I do not blame Cruz for being careful. He is not allowed to antagonize his rich donors.

Remember when Trump said he would win
Hispanic vote -— Cruz
African American — carter
Woman — Palin
Both carter and Cruz speak highly of MrT and he of them. We have lost in past because it was each man for themselves. All of the above have much to gain for our country if they work as a team
Not since 1770s have we seen Patriots place their lives , fortune and sacred honor on the line.

Bingo. PC will be the death of us and our great country.

I want Trump to say “Most of my opponents are professional politicians. They can’t say too much that might offend the wrong people ‘cause after I beat them they want a job in politics.

But what they’ve done their whole political lives is throw their hands in the air and say “There’s nothing we can do about it.”

If an employee went to the owner of a company and told him they’re bleeding money and the owner threw his hands up in the air and said “There’s nothing we can do about it, he’d be out of business in no time.”

Because the people running for president have thrown their hands in the air in resignation America is going out of business. I will not allow that to happen.”

This is great, boss.

We on your great site are fired up over this “reformation” and fixing this broke government. I would love to see it fixed without firing a shot.

However, there are 49% of Americans known as the Givemedat tribe who like it the way it is and will fight to keep it that way.

They have support in the FERAL Government to keep the free stuff flowing down to the Givemedat tribe. Cut the flow off and stuff will start burning and people are going to start dieing.

This is akin to Patton's 3rd Army rolling across Europe

“People pull up behind me all the time a take pics of the Trump sticker on my car - I figured I’d start handing them out to build the Army - we’ve got 15 months.”

At the online Trump store they are selling magnetic bumper stickers.

I kinda like this part of the article myself:
“He or she would also need to be proven in terms of demonstrable organizational success on the world stage, not a member of the failed professional political class, or a pontificating academic, or God forbid, a malignant narcissist community organizer with zero experience in the real world.”

“a malignant narcissist community organizer with zero experience in the real world.”

ZING!!!! I hope that one lands!

Trump Gives a Glimpse of the Golden Arrow Targeted Toward McConnell/Donohue’s Achilles Heel – Intensely Strategic…

http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2015/08/15/trump-gives-a-glimpse-of-the-golden-arrow-targeted-toward-mcconnelldonohues-achilles-heel-intensely-strategic

Between that essay and the one of this thread, a lot of awareness can emerge. The essay in ‘Achilles Heel’ brings knowledge of why there are 17 candidates in the GOP race and what the purpose is. How is it that these people, most whom have no chance to win the nomination can afford to run a presidential campaign and who is paying for all of them and why? The overall strategy is asserted to be to splinter the GOP field so much that Jeb Bush does a cakewalk to the nomination.

Juxtapose the Achilles essay against the Reformation essay and it becomes clear what the GOPe and the media are after. What amazes me is how Trump tirelessly and relentlessly keeps in the news with his news announcements, policy papers, theatrics. One would think the GOPe’s sycophantic media would ignore him but they can’t, he twitters around them!

Thanks for the ping hoosiermama!
