Far better would be to shine some light on the effects of vaccines. They are not all they are cracked up to be. If there was scientific integrity steps could be taken to improve the safety of vaccines and to identify children at risk from vaccines. Safer intervals of vaccination to avoid weakening the immune system could be explored. The intervals are chosen at present to maximize compliance since the parents will be at the physician’s offices for well baby checkups. However the current intervals have been shown to be dangerous for some children
The standard MMR DTP Polio have a pretty good track record but even there...
Two former Merck virologists accuse their former employer of overstating the effectiveness of the mumps vaccine in Merck’s combination MMR shot, which may have cost the US government hundreds of millions of dollars over the past decade. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2012/07/10/merck-lying-about-vaccine-effectiveness.aspx
“There is only one recent study (Cowling 2012) where a true saline placebo was used, rather than another vaccine or the carrier fluid containing everything except the main antigen. That study showed no difference in influenza viral infection between groups but astonishingly it revealed a 5-6 times higher rate of non-influenza viral infections in the vaccinated. It is no small wonder more true placebos are not used in vaccine research.” drsuzanne.net/dr-suzanne-humphries-vaccines-vaccination/
The quoter of ANOTHER wins the “inappropriate reference to Nazism reward”?
Stretching ain’t you?
I would put it another way. This ignorance is a consequence of vaccine's success in the past. If people were facing the diseases that vaccines were developed to prevent, they would be begging for anything that would lower their child's risk of catching one.
People have simply forgotten, or never really learned just how horrible and deadly were those diseases which we don't see anymore.
As Star Wars scripts go....."It's a trap".
For entry into certain public institutions, a stricter policy may make sense.
But if this is for homeschooling, the policy can be laxer.
Agreed! If people want to be stupid with their kids’ health they can live with the consequences. But when dealing with contagious diseases that may affect my kids there is no room for error.
It isn’t an either/or choice as in figuring out who gets self pat on the back rights.
Conscientious objectors are one element in the mix, of course there are more.
much like war, after a long enough time some forget how horrid they are and others forget that there are things much worse.
“For it is the doom of men that they forget”

Some might choose to move away from centers of disease. It’s not like they are all chained prisoners begging the flogger not to come their way.
Abstinence!
Chameleons adapt to their surroundings, but they eventually change back.
Um....you do know when our borders were actually enforced our folks had to be isolated until it was clear they didn’t have diseases they were bringing into this country. I’m 100% for ALL aliens (legal or otherwise) entering this country having to be immunized. Would you rather see happen to the USA what happened to the Native Americans who were wiped out in many areas from smallpox or other diseases?
Too many are projecting on Carson what they want him to be, not what he actually is. They seem to have self-imposed blinders on. They are by Carson like the Dems were by Obama 7 years ago.
Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it.

Abstinence... is not a man made drug.
It’s a choice.
I wonder if he know or cares that the larger percentage of vaccinations are made from fetal tissue.
I always heard they used chicken eggs. Where do you get this notion that "the larger percentage" of vaccines are made from fetal tissue?
