Donald Trump has made headline after headline with his remarks on immigrants and immigration, but now his presidential campaign has put together its

*Trump is still a NY Democrat without a political track record.
We’ve all heard the promises before Potomac fever sets in.*
Ok. We’ve heard those same, lame excuses and promises from every candidate that’s ever ran for anything for as far back as I can remember, Republican or Democrat. Plus you say he doesn’t have a “political track record” like that’s a negative. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a positive. He doesn’t have the stench of criminality and lying like other politicians have with a track record. Not to mention people will still vote for someone with a crappy political track record, or else McCain, Boehner, McConnell, Cochran, none of these back stabbing pigs would still be in office, elected by Republican voters. Pftt.
Why is everyone worried all of a sudden that HE may be lying?
At this point, I’m willing to take a chance on him simply because he’s NOT a politician. Depending on how things go I may change my mind. But to me it’s no more of a risk than voting for someone just because they have an R behind their name. And plenty of people on FR do that EVERY TIME.
The fourteenth amendment to the Constitution established it as an official part of the Constitution.
We need to change the Constitution in order to prevent people who were born here to be automatic citizens here.
I hate to use Wikipedia as a source, but if you will take the time to examine the source materials, you will learn a lot.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthright_citizenship_in_the_United_States
The Ingles case in 1830, for example, established that a man born in New York during the Revolutionary War was a citizen of the United States, even though his parent's sided against the colonists and with the British Crown. After New York was taken by the colonists, Ingles parents took him to Britain. But because he was born in New York after the Declaration of Independence and not during the time that the British Crown controlled New York during the war, he was indeed an American citizen by birth and was eligible to inherit the property left to him.
This isn't about a judge or a court magically handing out citizenship, the idea that you are citizen just by being born in the country is one that was centuries old in English Common law and was adapted by the United States at its founding.
Past performance is the best predictor of future behavior.
Ronald Reagan had a solid 20 year track record as a conservative before becoming Ronaldus Magnus.
George Bush was a RINO before and after being elected.
Trump has been all over the place. He's saying the right things now, but skepticism is warranted.
Legal definitions don’t always equate to Webster’s.
;)
No, but they do equate to legal definitions and you can find then in Supreme Court decisions from the time of the founding of this nation forward.
Then I guess nobody back then thought a country would becso stupid as to let anyone in that could get here.
It truly is self-destructive.
Here ya go...was gone today ....
...”CRUZ SEEKS TO PERMANENTLY BLOCK ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FROM ALL WELFARE”....
Thanks, dear caww, for that link.
Too bad these amendments (from 2013) didn’t have a chance of passing...between Midge/Weeper and 0blama...but, God bless my Sen Cruz for trying!! I’ve been emailing friends/family links to current policy platform positions of Trump and Cruz.
I was hoping it was something he had said, as part of his current Presidential campaign platform. Maybe he will, now that Trump has released his Sessions blessed Immigration Policy. I’ll keep checking his website.
Thanks, again :)
Sanders is preaching a lot of the same things Trump is..... Corporate grabs....wealthy at the top....etc.etc.....they both ‘WHINE’ about the same thing...LOLOLOL....they’re just after a different audiance...and of course ol Sanders is a Socialist.
It’s going to get interesting no doubt as things go along.
Bernie followed Trump, this morning, on Beat the Press.
It was really interesting listening to him (Sanders) as a complete contrast to Trump.
Bernie claims that the “multi-millionaire” Koch Bros buy elections, while completely ignoring guys like Soros and lobbyists, who DO buy elections.
He also tried to jab at Trump’s wealth...using the old leftist *money/capitalism is BAD* meme...”I don’t have a lot of money, my family didn’t have money”.
The highlight of Bernie’s interview, imo, was when he apologized for America’s institutional racism, our unfair justice system and how we need to “do away with the militarization of our local police departments”.
Cuckooland stuff, for certain. There’s no comparison between Trump and Sanders....thank God!
Ping you requested, to caww’s Cruz link....

Your wrong about Kate’s law.....but I know where you stand with Trump so I’m not going to argue about this...
the sooner people understand Cruz and Trump or on the same team the better.
Way back in 1994 CA prop 187 would have eliminated all public services to illegal aliens.☺
Californian's won big, it was historic!
Then the feds stepped in and along with their state government co-conspirators and burned the ballots and declared that huge victory illegal.
I will never forget or forgive these traitors for what they did.
You betcha.
As I mentioned in my earlier post, I hate that these amendments, by Cruz in 2013, had a snowball’s chance in you-know-where of passing....but, at least he’s tried...and, maybe now that Trump has come out with such a strong, Sessions blessed Immigration plan, Cruz will make his call for eliminating all welfare benefits for illegals a part of his campaign platform. THAT would be a one-two punch to the establishment!
The 14th Amendment needed a sunset clause built into it.
The Trump’s immigration plan is the best one on the market right now.
I am glad to see him flesh it out with these details. Most Americans (including legal Spanish Americans) want these types of measures taken to protect our sovereignty and what it means to be an American.
Irrespective of what this Administration’s, the RINOs, and the Progressive lib’s Caesar Chavez’s say on the matter.
You know, for the first time I’m starting to feel that he’s not just a punchline - that there’s substance behind the ranting. And I think he might just be viable.
The Establishment better be paying attention. Or to put it bluntly, they are f^cked.
I never understood the "you can't deport them all [so by implication we should do nothing]" line of argument. We'll never catch all shoplifters either, does that mean that they should never be arrested and charged when they are caught?
