Donald Trump has made headline after headline with his remarks on immigrants and immigration, but now his presidential campaign has put together its

Sounds reasonable
The baby is. The parents are not.
Deport the parents.
Allow them zero visitation ever. Don’t even keep information for the child to learn who their criminal parents were.
If they wish (as their child’s guardian) to take the child with them when they are deported make that act an automatic forfeiture of the child’s citizenship.
This is the same solution conservatives have been advocating at least since I became involved in immigration reform activism during the Carter presidency.
And fix immigration processing.
In the seventies it often took up to eight years to get citizenship processed for a spouse an American married overseas. Today it still does despite computerization. This is why I first got involved in immigration as a political issue.
Put an absolute end to “economic refugees”
(Deporting All Of America's Illegal Immigrants Would Cost A Whopping $285 Billion)
There has to be a better way without jeopardizing our sovereignty as a nation - detention camps where they will be "documented" as illegal aliens...AKA felons, then when enough are corralled to fill a Boeing C-17...send it to Mexico City International Airport....push them out the ramp and leave! Could work.......
The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
There is an argument that Section 1, from which you quoted, had its original intent misinterpreted when SCOTUS ruled on citizenship in the late 1800s and that the current interpretation of birthright citizenship was NOT intended. And as such, that Congress can point to section 5 and end it by simple legislation; stating it, not SCOTUS, has the applicable power here. At worst you get a confrontation between what the Framers thought of the most vs. the least powerful branches of the Federal Government. The only problem is a century worth of brain washing the populace on the incorrect SCOTUS precedent. Defeating that brain washing will take all the heavy lifting Trump can provide.
Nope, just a re-examining by the USSC. Birthright citizenship is mostly policy driven and not caselaw driven. Just need a solid challenge and it can be changed.
What candidate has proposed an immigration position paper like Trumps? It is unprecedented.

Trump would end birthright citizenship.
Mexicans giving birth as the enter. This happens on the freeways, and right at the border as they enter. This has been going on for decades while people like Bush and Obama winked and nodded.
Millions do this to get a foot in the freebie door.
This is happening daily.
He said, "we don't intend to separate families........they'll all be together ......in Mexico."
To the question WRT those who dont have a place to go...Trump said, "it's not our problem."
Trump has done more than that. He is trying to discourage the number of H-1Bs. He did it very cleverly.
Increase prevailing wage for H-1Bs. We graduate two times more Americans with STEM degrees each year than find STEM jobs, yet as much as two-thirds of entry-level hiring for IT jobs is accomplished through the H-1B program. More than half of H-1B visas are issued for the program's lowest allowable wage level, and more than eighty percent for its bottom two. Raising the prevailing wage paid to H-1Bs will force companies to give these coveted entry-level jobs to the existing domestic pool of unemployed native and immigrant, instead of flying in cheaper workers from overseas. This will improve the number of black, Hispanic and female workers in Silicon Valley who have been passed over in favor of the H-1B program. Mark Zuckerbergs personal Senator, Marco Rubio, has a bill to triple H-1Bs that would decimate women and minorities.
Requirement to hire American workers first. Too many visas, like the H-1B, have no such requirement. In the year 2015, with 92 million Americans outside the workforce and incomes collapsing, we need to companies to hire from the domestic pool of unemployed. Petitions for workers should be mailed to the unemployment office, not USCIS.
Cruz spoke of this as well...he wants to increase the HIBS for high end workers as well.
No, Cruz wants to increase the number of H-1B visas significantly as well as legalize the lawbreakers already here.
Cruz Tries to Claim the Middle Ground on Immigration
Asked about what to do with the people here illegally, however, he stressed that he had never tried to undo the goal of allowing them to stay.
The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight, he said during a recent visit to El Paso. Mr. Cruz also noted that he had not called for deportation or, as Mitt Romney famously advocated, self-deportation.
Mr. Cruz said recent polling indicated that people outside Washington support some reform, including legal status without citizenship. He said he was against naturalization because it rewarded lawbreakers and was unfair to legal immigrants. It also perpetuates illegal crossings, he added.
Besides barring citizenship while instituting some level of legalization for those here already, Mr. Cruz has proposed increasing the number of green cards awarded annually, to 1.35 million from 675,000. He also wants to eliminate the per-country limit that he said left applicants from countries like Mexico, China and India hamstrung when they tried to gain legal entry to this country.
Did ya know at just one Dallas Texas hospital, about 1000 anchor babies are born EVERY SINGLE MONTH?
Ah, thanks much.
I had look at the article, but I only saw about 5 points or so on there, but I figured that there had to be more.
That’s good, but I still prefer criminal accessory charges for real teeth.
But whatever, Trump’s plan looks fantastic. certainly far better than Mr. Act of Love, or that other tool from Ohio that prefers they be legalized.
“...a policy based on a misinterpretation of the 14th...”
___
The 14th amendment has been used and abused way too much for way too long by out-of-control courts resulting in enormous damage to our country. Congressional clarification of the true, limited intent of the 14th is urgently required to prevent further damage.
This is great news!
PS i am new. my post lag time review is frustrating! Apologize in advance for duplicate I posted over an hour ago.
You're gonna love it here.
The only time I’ve seen him say that was for them to touch base back home so that the “good ones” could then be “expedited” for “legalization”.
The first, second and other amendments have been twisted and ‘re-interpreted, with judges using what they think the framers had in mind at the time. I believe what they had in mind here was the children of slaves, not millions of illegal aliens rushing across our border to have babies and collect welfare.
Trump knows ALL of the above will automatically happen, if we build the fence and deport those here, illegally.
>>BRILLIANT<<
Yes, that and many of his other proposed policy changes are good.
But he’s also apparently left a hole for nearly 30 million otherwise-not-convicted illegals to stay here—and through chain migration multiply to 90 million.
Those are primarily low-skill, Leftist-leaning, government-dependent immigrants.
If I am not mistaken, he said it this morning on Meet the Press.
