TRUMP ON THE 40 YARD LINE
Coach is Right ^ | August 14, 2015 | Peggy Ryan

Posted on 08/14/2015 3:15:51 PM PDT by Kenny

I’ve written several pieces on Donald Trump. Reaction to these musings either fire up the Trumpster’s wrath or garner me their instant support. I’m accused of being an establishment lackey or I’m lauded as a Trump supporter. But nothing I’ve written is purely black or white. My takeaway from these responses is that I’m not getting my point across.

However, being nearly as stubborn as Trump, I refuse to give up. So today I’ll approach the subject in a manner that all men and most women will get. I’m going to use a sports analogy. Football. Oops, is that sexist?

Anyway, in this scenario Republican conservatives are the offense. For non-sports types that means we have the ball and to win the game we must move it across the goal line. The Red team has three wide receivers, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, and Scott Walker. It’s their job to catch the ball and run with it. Our tight end is Donald Trump. He can both receive and block.

The Republican establishment and their crony allies are the defense, the Blue team. They had the ball and were halfway down the field when the Reds intercepted. Now they’re the defense, meaning they have to stop the Reds. They’re flush with 400 lb. line-backers and tackles with just one mission–to annihilate the  Reds.

And we have our referees, each being a member of the mainstream media. It is their duty to enforce the rules.

<snip>

I’ll pray Trump can plow through the bruising linebackers and put the Red team in position to score. If they take Trump down, our other receivers are ready to make the catch, finish the play and claim victory. If Trump goes all the way, the Red team still wins.

Not so sure the Red team can win with Trump. He's saying he can see himself supporting a Bush nomination, says he loves Paul Ryan, mentions Sen. Kelly Ayotte for possible VP, maybe he's not so conservative.

Trump is the QB. He’s calling all the plays, the others are reacting.

However, Trump 2 to 3 days ago to Bush...

“Earlier this week, Trump, the Republican front-runner, was less than gracious when speaking about Bush, saying: “I don’t see him as a factor … He’s terrible. He’s weak on immigration. Sanctuary cities. Did you know that he had five of them in Florida when he was governor?”

And Trump also released a 15-second video featuring footage of President George H.W. Bush and his infamous “read my lips” remark about not raising taxes, President George W. Bush and his “weapons of mass destruction” debacle, and then Jeb Bush. The clips are accompanied by circus music.

“Enough is enough — no more Bushes” Trump said on Twitter.” “

Referees don't try to kick field goals. Moderators/referees are not supposed to be candidates nor debate with the candidates. The MSM is a manipulated choreographed ugly fraud.

I think this writer has been reading an article by Pat Buchanan! I don't always agree with Pat, but in an article he wrote, he hit the nail on the head when he said:

What was wrong here was that it was not his Republican rivals raising these issues or taking on Trump. It was the Fox News “moderators” of what was supposed to be a candidates’ debate. They came into the arena to do to Trump what his GOP rivals have been too timid or reluctant to do.

Chris Wallace and Megyn Kelly came with their oppo research done and attack questions prepared — to sack Trump in the end zone and send him to the locker room on a stretcher.

When did that become the job of a “moderator” who is supposed to be more of a referee than a middle linebacker?

Who decided to turn the first Republican presidential debate into a two-hour version of “The Kelly File”?

Having played another sport baseball for most of my life, there is one concept that bothers me when folks talk about Trump.

They like the idea that he is taking the media on, and essentially annihilating them. They like that he is cramming his foot down the GOPe’s throat. They like that the Leftist groups are angry at him. Hey, many aren’t even Trump supporters and they love this.

Then some of these people voice the thought that Trump should take care of all the bad forces, knock them out, get a clear shot at the prize, then stand down for someone else to carry the ball over the goal line.

My analogy would be this. You’ve got a great pitcher that got you to the World Series. What coach in his right mind would sit that guy on the bench?

Nope, that coach would sooner get the better part of three games out of him, and he’d be foolish not to.

I liked the article for the most part. I thought there were some good analogies in there.

Fox did Trump and all the others by getting all those target issues off the table

The MSM were de facto participants and the GOP had full prior knowledge of their embarrassing plans, which backfired in their faces.

Btw, they're not the only folks able to conduct background research. Kelly coming off like some gladiator for these womens issues was a total fraud. As if Kelly is some delicate flower fighting for wholesome women against mean men.

Watch the Stern interview with Ms. Kelly. She's a phony skank.

And yet - Reagan played very nice giving the VP slot to the GOPE Bush.

I wouldn’t read much into it. Trump ‘playing nice’ every once in awhile. Trump can’t have gracious words? If Trump criticizing them people complain and if he’s courteous people complain.

I heard the interview yesterday. She was trying way too hard to be cutesy with Howard - not pleasant to listen to. Maybe that’s why Kelly has decided it’s “vacation time” from FOX for a week and a half or so.

No thanks. He can sit in the locker room.

I heard the Stern interview years ago before she had her own show. That’s one reason I like her. She’s not uptight or politically correct.

Her questions had nothing to do with “wholesome women.” They had to do with Trump’s electability when he had used insulting language to women in the past. She would’ve asked Stern the same thing if he was running.

No sale.

Electability? Did they not know his numbers going in? ☺

The American dream is dead. The professional politicians have all but left America dead on the floor, and her big question in front of 25,000,000 Americans was why should America elect Trump after he called some fat slob a fat slob?

It was a rehearsed hit job. As if you, her and the rest of the planet didn't realize the man was among other things in entertainment for years. He said many things in jest. Come on. Bringing up O'Donnel ditty? Really?

He didn't spend his life in some dingy real-estate office with a bunch of sanitized stiff suits. Come on.

Kelly and most of the msm are phony lying skanks. Most capable of critical thought understand this.
