(CNN) The Iowa State Fair won't allow Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to give kids free rides on his helicopter on fairgrounds, but the real estate developer has secured a nearby location.
The helicopter will take off from a parking lot outside the fair in Des Moines, campaign state chairman Chuck Laudner told CNN on Friday, adding that Trump may hop on a few rides as well.
CNN previously reported that the Sikorsky is one of three that he owns, seats 12 people comfortably, including the pilot.
Trump will arrive in the $7 million helicopter before holding a press event

Last year we considered driving from Texas to the Minnesota State Fair. We were going to rent an RV trailer. For some reason we decided against it. I think we just decided that we could find all the fried food we can eat a lot closer to home.
I’d still like to go someday. And from the sound of it I’d enjoy the Iowa State Fair, too.
I finally went to the Texas State Fair last year, or the year before, and it sucks. Right after we left Big Tex caught on fire. I swear I didn’t do it.
All we saw were a few food joints and cars, cars, cars. And the carnival rides cost a fortune.

He's probably flying in on his big jet. From what I read, the chopper had to make 3 fuels stops from NYC to Iowa.
I don't see Trump taking a slow chopper trip across the country.

GOP had nothing to do with it.
My mistake....thought I’d read something about the state GOP chair, on this. Thanks.

Brilliant. Everyone looking up and seeing the bid TRUMP on the side. Plus it provides good security. People won’t know if he is in the air or on the ground. Notice they do not mention what method of transportation he will use on ground.
Insurance is previously covered. Cost of fuel in relationship to amount of publicity — much cheaper than buying activating TV ads and much more exciting.
LOOK UP IN THE AIR ! IT’S A BIRD! IT’S SUPER TRUMP!

They just haven’t figured out how to shoot it out of the sky without being noticed yet. They’re working on it though. lol

He sure knows how to show folks a good time! :)
Scott Walker could offer to let the kids fry bacon in his Winnebago.
