Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said Thursday that parents should not be forced to vaccinate their children against diseases like measles or mumps. However, she said she also believes schools should be free to make vaccinations for communicable diseases a requirement for attendance, saying families have to "make that trade-off" for themselves.
Fiorina told reporters after the event that "when you have highly communicable diseases where you have a vaccine that's proven, like measles or mumps, then I think a parent can make that choice."
California, where Fiorina ran for a Senate seat against Democrat Barbara Boxer in 2010, recently passed a law requiring nearly all schoolchildren to be vaccinated. Several calls to tighten the state's vaccine laws erupted after a measles outbreak last December was found to have originated in Disneyland.
Fiorina expressed her disapproval of the mandate, saying that "California is wrong on most everything, honestly."

The measles vaccine only lasts a few years. Most adults in this country who’ve had the measles vaccine aren’t, in fact, immune to measles. It’s questionable that anyone who actually had measles before the vaccine is actually immune either, their not having been exposed to measles in a while to ‘remind’ their immune systems.
Most adults who had the measles vaccine will be getting another dose in the near future. Bet the farm on that.
Do a little reading on the stuff the Gates Foundation and GAVI are working on. Hardly tinfoil stuff.

He was ‘speaking’ through his lower orifice on that.

Vaccinations aren’t 100% effective, so it is only common sense to also segregate yourself from those who are likely to get infected.
Very interesting. Thanks for the reply. But I'm curious why you said that. Is it because that dose is really necessary, or is it for some other reason (politics, etc.)?
The MMR is a live virus vaccine. That’s been proven to shed to other people. If you’re going to segregate from people likely to infect, be sure to include the recently vaccinated in your ‘avoid’ list.
The “grain of rice” of which you speak is a data chip, not a GPS receiver.
Injecting a GPS receiver would have no purpose, since it wouldn’t be able to do anything useful with the data stream.
“But, But.... I thought the vaccinated kids are immune?”
There are degrees of immunity, you know.
I’m not on Obamacare and my employer has never asked me to take a vaccination, so I’ll believe that when I see it.
Those who have been vaccinated are infected.
What do you think a vaccine is?
“Thanks for the reply. But I’m curious why you said that. Is it because that dose is really necessary, or is it for some other reason (politics, etc.)?”
At this point, who knows. I’m sure the complete absolute truth will be told though. Never fear. But I’ve already seen editorials calling for a 3rd mandatory dose of measles vaccine. Which at this point will be the MMR because you can’t get a measles vaccine by itself anymore in this country.
They’re already giving the MMR (again) to postpartum moms before they leave the hospital. Most of the Disney measles patients were vaccinated adults.
Nobody will ‘force’ you to take a vaccine. Your insurance rates will skyrocket. It will be difficult to schedule an appointment with any MD if you’re not as they will be required to have a certain % of fully vaccinated patients.
Just like pediatricians today will routinely refuse to take patients who don’t do ‘the schedule’ and ‘on time’ (because they get insurance kickbacks at the end of the year for 95%+ rates following ‘the schedule’), your MD will be held to the same standards.
So you won’t HAVE to be vaccinated. Unless you want to work around people or actually get medical care.

Immunity is a will-o-the-wisp.
Susceptibility to disease is a function of the condition of your immune system.
I am 70 years old, never been vaccinated, lived and worked among infected people, and in infectious situations for much of the last 50 years, with no problem.
As those that have studied the subject in depth say “Its the soil, not the seed.”

“Vaccinations cause more deaths than the natural occurances of disease ever could.
The lions share of reported measles deaths are the result of the vaccine itself.”
Wow, total logic fail there. You’re making an apples-to-oranges comparison, since non-vaccine related measles are only so low nowadays because NEARLY EVERYONE is vaccinated against the disease.
Instead, a proper comparison would be to compare the number of measles vaccine deaths to the number of measles deaths over a similar period BEFORE the vaccine became available. Let’s do that.
This anti-vax site claims 108 measles-vaccine related deaths over 10 years (source: http://healthimpactnews.com/2015/zero-u-s-measles-deaths-in-10-years-but-over-100-measles-vaccine-deaths-reported/). Now, it’s an anti-vax site so I’ll assume their numbers are at least not underestimated.
Now the measles vaccine came out in the 1960s, so let’s see how many died in the 1950s of the measles. According to this site (http://jid.oxfordjournals.org/content/189/Supplement_1/S1.long):
“From 1956 to 1960, an average of 450 measles-related deaths were reported each year...”
So we have 108 deaths over 10 years with the vaccination, versus about 4500 deaths over a similar period, before the vaccination. That’s the real comparison you need to be making.
No, its not a false argument, its a fact.
While I know that those that died from the vaccine had to have had compromised immune systems, had they not been vaccinated the likelihood of accidental infection was almost non-existent.
This is the problem with all vaccination programs. The likelihood of any infectious disease is so remote that the vaccine can only increase the hazard to the general population.
.
“Susceptibility to disease is a function of the condition of your immune system.”
Yes, and vaccines provide a direct benefit to your immune system’s ability fight specific diseases. Deny it all you want, but you won’t be able to come up with evidence to refute that.
