BOR losses could be attributed to Megyn Kelly, Chris Wallas and Bret Baer’s dissasterous performance.
Who was the first person at FoxNews NY studios to mention the obvious. Would love to see the look Bill gives Kelly when he passes her in the hall.
Martha Ham? Don’t recognize name.
Do you mean Katherine Ham or someone else?
Are you saying Kelly has cost Fox a couple million dollars because
of a 8% drop in viewer numbers?
It’ll be interesting to see if numbers stay down after Labor Day. I’m not sure anything now matters with people taking advantage of last weeks of summer.
When it appears that FOX News is hurting they’ll make her make a sincere apology to Trump.
-— His replacement lost half a million viewers in 1 day. Must really be terrible. And now OReilly is interrupting his vacation and calling in tonight because of the ratings debacle on Tuesday. -—
I have an idea. How about having Mark Steyn guest host instead of Juan “Amnesty” Williams.
“Overall Fox News is NOT up..”
Glad to be mistaken. Once in a great while their are cosequences.
He’s an arrogant a$$hole...always has been...always will be
I was talking about the O’bloviator.
Why are the other shows holding viewers?
And Fox and Friends and Hannity gained viewer?
You would think that if was just because of the summer, all of the Fox shows would be down 8-15%. Not just O’Reilly and Megyn.
It looks like only Trump can save Fox News.
That turd is on vacation.
The News cycle is following Trump and he is playing the cable station to his celebrity image. He gives Hunnity an interview, Hannity does not give Trump tough conservative follow up questions. Reagan’s conservatism would never let tariffs stand without giving a rebuttal. I knew Reagan I listen to him in the 80’s he had a plan to argue capitalism and especial free enterprise to Europe and USSR
According to Erickson, those two ran up to him and said “Trump just referred to Megyn’s period! “ He threw them under the bus last nite and now he still keeps trying to fight. So good.
It looks like only Trump can save Fox News.
I am sure there are negotiations going on behind the scene. Trump should demand a second Fox debate with Levin, Ingraham and Greta as moderators.
Plus air his campaign ad free 10 times a day day for the next 6 month.
Plus Trump will appear on Fox x-many times.
July 28 Kelly File 2239000
August 4 Kelly File 2450000
August 11 Kelly File 2678000
Looks to be trending up.
I hope she loses more audience, but I am not about to do the victory dance on these figures. We need more data.
Mostly agree, but Trump would never be riding this high without the cheerleading he gets from Rush, Hannity, Ingraham, etc. But yes, they want him on for ratings too. They feed on each other. All these Trumpsters bashing Fox sound utterly foolish. Aside from the debate in which he actually got tough questions, several Fox personalities like Greta and Hannity give Trump glowing coverage and never ask him to explain some of his more outlandish statements. In fact, Hannity goes so far as to put words in his mouth to help him answer all the questions he obviously couldn't respond to intelligently without help.
Trump is no conservative. At best he is a some mix of populist, capitalist (which is not the same as conservative) and nationalist - heavy on the populist protectionism which mixes nicely with nationalism when you blame every other country for our ills. In many ways he and Bernie Sanders have a lot in common. In fact Trump recently joked that Sanders was stealing all his lines (protectionist statements). If Trump were the GOP nominee, the unions would be giddy. They'd finally have a Republican they could support (though lets be honest, they'd still support the Democrat).
It will be interesting to see how all this plays out. But if Fox ratings continue to drop overall by 7%, they’ll lose $64 million in advertising revenues on an annual basis.
James Murdoch is playing high stakes poker in his War on Conservatives at Fox now that he is Roger Ailes’s boss.
