Just curious, have you ever fought cancer? What an uncivil thing to wish for.
I have been fighting AML for 5 months and I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

I’m sorry to hear that. My prayers are with his family.
He was a terrible, terrible President and I did not like him meddling in foreign affairs when Republicans were in the WH. But he did work for Habitat for Humanity and he taught Sunday School. I’d like to think he was well-meaning, but ignorant and simple-minded, rather than intentionally evil. Only God knows what was in his heart.
I will pray that God grant him and his family comfort and healing during this difficult time.

With cancer, it seems the “cure” is worse than the disease.

I agree about Carter. And I felt the same for myself many times. I’m glad I stuck thru it now that I’m recuperating and from a BMT as well. Should I relapse, I can’t promise I’ll do it again tho.
At least he has lived long enough to see another President that is worse than he was.

I don’t know, Elsie. I feel pretty pessimistic, too, but I have to believe there are still enough people of faith left in the United States that He will continue to show favor on us. But I don’t presume to know His will. So I really don’t know.
Nobody alive does, or can, and sometimes I think that’s really unfair. It’s like we are students in grade school and there’s a teacher up in front with all of the answers but we don’t get to know anything, and we have to learn everything ourselves, even what the quiz is about.

Well, that’s not what I would have done. But I’m probably not a good person.
Perhaps Carter was trying to emulate the Son of God in that sense.
