FBI investigation into Democratic presidential front-runner expands its reach

Tasked with digging into the security of Hillary’s home brewed email server, the FBI investigation into presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is expanding it’s reach.

A local CBS News affiliate reports the Denver based Platte River Networks received a visit from the FBI last week regarding former Secretary Clinton’s email.

Platte River Networks handled the Clinton’s email accounts though there’s been no public explanation as to what that entailed.

It’s been confirmed by both the intelligence community and the office of the Inspector General that classified information was transmitted through Hillary Clinton’s private email account. Also true is that Hillary Clinton deleted thousands of emails prior to turning some over to the State Department for record keeping.

According to CBS News Denver:

Sources related to that visit told CBS4 Investigator Rick Sallinger the company has been asked to preserve any information related to the emails involving Bill and Hillary Clinton.

The company’s website lists awards including for being among the best Colorado businesses and places to work. But Metro State University Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems Dr. Edgar Maldonado says there are questions about what security protocols were in place.

“I would say it’s not the best choice,” Maldonado said.

The FBI would not comment on its contact with the Denver company.

Platte River Networks is not under investigation and the FBI is only in the information gathering stage of their inquest into presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton.

Folks, if this is true it is going to be catastrophic for democrats. Yes, Hillary will be out of the race and potentially imprisoned. But the far-reaching damage will be to all the people and businesses that were caught up in the pay for play; all the people that received classified information; and yes, even President Obama. The FBI is on a mission, and its leader, FBI Director James Comey, was a US Attorney during the Bush administration (he led the case against Martha Stewart, among other cases).

Somehow this does not seem right. It fits into the “Too Good To Be True” category. There’s a catch someplace, some sort of a game. Somehow or another the Rats will get a huge gain of some sort from this.

If the GOP were in charge of the White House, for sure this never would have happened - unless Trump or someone like him were sitting in the Oval Office.

This has gotta be a show of some sort.

There have been many investigations in the past that were buried because the potential harm was deemed too great to expose. Think of all the Nazi criminals who were granted entry into the US although they should have been prosecuted because we needed their abilities. There were inquiries but they went nowhere. The Kennedy assassination comes to mind also.

After all this time, if there is a shred of any evidence left anywhere about those deleted emails, aside from at NSA and the Kremlin, I’d be amazed. Kind of like a bank teller getting a letter from auditors saying they are coming in a week to count your cash.

Now under FBI scrutiny, Colorado's Platte River Networks handled the Clintons' email accounts. It’s been confirmed by (1) the US inte community, and, (2) the office of the State Dept IG, that classified information was transmitted through Hillary’s private email account...and that Hillary deleted 1000's of emails prior to turning some over to the State Dept for record-keeping (as US law requires).

It is deemed possible that Platte River Networks may have copies of Hillary's deleted emails.....but presumably the outfit does not have ntl security clearance.

Hillary's lawyer is said to be in possession of a thumb drive of her govt emails.....but Kendall does not have national security clearance.

We need to determine who was allowed to see the data in Platte River Network and Kendall's possession.

Platte River Networks may be a perfectly legitimate company who had a contract with the State Department to provide maintenance services for the department's online systems and email accounts. Hillary may not have even known they existed. It's possible that they have copies of all of her emails. Remember: Hillary is not exactly tech savvy, having once stated that her server was secure because the Secret Service was guarding her house. The existence of Platte River Networks may be a big piece of the puzzle that Hillary failed to take into account.

I am with you. The fact that an FBI director in this administration is choosing now to pursue this proves an ulterior motive.

They are getting all of this done now so that next year when she is campaigning against the Republican and it is brought up we will hear “that is old news. Are you going to drag that up?”

It’s no big deal to setup an email server. The problem is you still have to contract with an ISP to get your email routed to the server. The Homebrew server is just the end of the line. It’s possible at every hop in the chain to capture the email and useful if it’s unencrypted. I hope the service company saved them, I don’t think they had to.

I haven’t heard anything about Hillary using a VPN service.
