Trump is still in the lead, but now garners the support of only 17% of those asked. Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush tied for second with 10%. Scott Walker and Carly Fiorina round out the top 5 with 9% each.

That Trump is ahead of a pack that includes Ted Cruz, Bobby Jindal, Florin is a sad reflection of many Republican primary voters. Can we please do better??

Our Country needs a candidate. That we have a spam quality of quantity, is a sign of phase IV idiotcracy.

Conservatives don’t pander to liberals.

Guys that want to repeat the “Reagan democrat” concept will make “general” statements that may cause them to think he may soften the blow to their side will say things that way. His long, “I’m sure there’s SOMETHING they do that is good” comment cracked me up.

It will be interesting to see where he goes with this, though. The election is not tomorrow.

83% of conservatives polled are not Trump’s chumps. I guess he is beyond vetting, reproach, or criticism of thin skin. The former donor to Hillary, Pelosi, Reid, and Schumer; the former pro-abortion gun-grabbing liberal Johnny-come-lately turned conservative, is now the shining bright object of the rash and uncritical conservative. Too bad. Go Cruz. Let a real and intelligent genuine conservative lead. Phony hair and phony conservative braggarts to side lines.

I’m a Cruz supporter all the way, but disagree with you about Hillary. I don’t think she beats ANYBODY by 10 points. She’ll stumble into the nomination, but that’s it; New York isn’t the rest of us..

Total bunk. They should be ashamed for this push polling.

I agree with you about the need to nominate a conservative candidate in 2016. I don't feel any personal antipathy for Bush. He seems like a very nice man. I just don't think that he fits for 2016.

I like Cruz and I've told you why I think Trump's candidacy is helping Cruz right now. Bush has a lot of money. I prefer seeing him spend it against Trump and not Cruz.

I am more confident that we will end up with a good nominee in 2016 than I was in 2012. So, I am happy with the way things are going.

"Trump said that if Planned Parenthood is performing any abortions they should not be receiving federal funds."

That's one of Trump's problems with conservatives. He public speech often continues to waffle between left and right. He positioned himself as a solid liberal lefty into old age, and since, shows one face to liberals and another to conservatives. Another problem is his lack of any record of governance to prove his positions.

Yes, there's a constituency that likes what he's doing, but that constituency will not take him to the presidency. A large portion of conservatives will refuse to vote for him no matter what.

And hopes of bipartisan government income recipients that he will give the presidency to Clinton are also now in the trash, where they belong. Clinton will surely lose, even if she's not in jail soon. The election of Obama against Clinton already made that point clear.

Despite the noise from Internet liberaltarians, the two most realistically viable Republican candidates from the perspective of this point in time are probably Bush and Walker.

His public speech often continues to waffle, even. Little correction there.

I said nothing about Trump. And Hussein was everything Hillary is not, telegenic, engaging, much more at ease on the stump. The campaign season is a long one, and they can’t hide a bitter, drunken, hateful, criminal woman forever. 2016 isn’t 2012, either. I really sense the tide turning against the inane liberalism. Don’t laugh at me, but do you know when I think the mood shifted? Bruce Jenner coupled with the Gay Marriage ruling. I think those two events had very negative consequences on the chance of any democrat winning.
Just my opinion..

“There is something fishy with the poll. Cruz had no debate bump....and that’s odd.”

Yes, he had a bump up after the debate and donations went up considerably after the debate. In the past four months, 225,000 donations from every state in the union, totaling 15 million, 300 thousand have come in.

If you have noticed, there is article after article on FR as Cruz puts together workers and offices in every state.

There is not one article I have seen about Trump putting together workers/offices in states. Perhaps he thinks he can be on TV and that gets him elected. He also has to go through certain procedures in every state to get his name on a ballot in every state. Perhaps he will say the states aren’t being “fair” to him and should put his name on the ballot because he is the best of all the candidates and shouldn’t have to follow the rules.

That’s all PP does and what you’re saying isn’t what he said

Breitbart has Trump saying he believes PP should NOT get federal funding while they still perform abortions. Trump said if PP stops abortions, THEN he’d consider what they offer and if it should qualify for taxpayer funds.
