Planned Parenthood applauded Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday following his most recent comments about the group, saying to cut off federal funding is just one of several extreme positions that are way too far outside the mainstream for even him to take.
On Monday, Trump told CNNs Chris Cuomo that before defunding Planned Parenthood, he would look at the good aspects of the organization if he were elected president, but referred to the group as an abortion factory.
The biggest problem I have with Planned Planned is the abortion situation, the real estate mogul told Cuomo. I mean, its like an abortion factory, frankly.
I would look at the individual things that they do, and maybe some of the things are good and maybe, I know a lot of the things are bad, but certainly the abortion aspect of it should not be funded by government, Trump continued.
But despite Trump referring to Planned Parenthood as an abortion factory, the organization praised Trump for changing his extreme positions about abortion and defunding the group.
Donald Trump seems to have realized that banning all abortions, shutting down the government, and defunding Planned Parenthood are extreme positions that are way too far outside the mainstream for even him to take, spokesman Eric Ferrero said, according to The Daily Beast.
We hope that the rest of the GOP field will wake up and reconsider their extreme and unpopular positions on defunding preventive care, abortion bans, and the other economic issues that women and their families care about, Ferrero continued.
TheDC reported Trumps comments to Cuomo indicate a considerably softer opinion than in an interview with Hugh Hewitt last weak, when the mogul agreed that it would be worth shutting down the government in order to defund Planned Parenthood.
In 1999, Trump said he was strongly for choice, but last Thursday during the Republican presidential debates, he addressed his change of heart, saying, since then, Ive very much evolved, and that, I am very, very proud to say that I am pro-life.
So Trump absolutely wants to defund abortion, but said that we need to take care of women.
Trump didn’t say he would continue funding planned parenthood. He said he would look at what they do.
If you want to see for yourself what he said, here's a video starting about 6:15 and going at 7:15. He keeps digging a hole. He says that he's sure they do some things properly and good. (6:41)
He also won't say life from the moment of conception. He also revalidates that he likes the exceptions of "rape, incest, or life and health"
Bottom line is that there are NO aspects of Planned Butcherhood that should be funded. None whatsoever. Period. End of Story.
It needs to be shuttered, its leaders tried, convicted, and executed for crimes against humanity (genocide). Each and every building that housed a PP abortuary needs to be burned to the ground and then the ground needs to have a full scale exorcism followed by the ground being clearly marked so that the unwary don't accidentally walk upon it in the future.
There needs to be nothing remaining of this...except a new exhibit in the Holocaust Museum so that future generations will never forget.
If you make abortion the main issue in this election, and select Cruz who is undoubtedly the best on abortion, the democrats will win.
If you make the economy the main issue in this election and select Trump who understands the economy, we will win.
If you make abortion the main issue in this election, and select Cruz who is undoubtedly the best on abortion, the democrats will win.
If you make the economy the main issue in this election and select Trump who understands the economy, we will win.
If you make the economy the main issue in this election and select Trump who understands the economy, we will win.
So we should tolerate mass murder. Genocide on a level that would make the Ottoman Turks, ISIS, and the Nazi Party combined shudder with disbelief.
24 million this year alone. 1.3 BILLION since 1980.
Got it. Let's just close our eyes and sing kumbaya.
I can’t support anyone who supports federal funding for Planned Barrenhood. Trump is entertaining. And it may be that no one who shares my view on abortion is electable in this godless country. So be it. No more compromise on key issues is my mantra now.
Hey, if we have a good economy, we can look the other way as some ghouls are harvesting and selling baby parts.
Ted Cruz's platform is much more than abortion. We can have a good economy and de-fund the baby parts factory.
“Now that he is leading in the polls, he probably thinks that he can be less of a “campaign conservative”.”
Just imagine if he had the nomination.
Trump has an unusually high number of mutations, politically speaking. This allows him to evolve rapidly and in any direction that helps Trump.
DONALD TRUMP: Well, the biggest problem I have with Planned Parenthood is the abortion situation. I mean, it’s like an abortion factory, frankly. You can’t have it and you just shouldn’t be funding it. And that should not be funded by the government. And I feel strongly about that and that’s my biggest problem with Planned Parenthood, because, really, if you look at it and the work they do, it really has become heavily centered on abortion and you can’t have that.
CUOMO: They say it’s only three percent of what they do and the money that does go toward abortions is not the money that comes from the federal government, that they separate the two.
TRUMP: Here’s what I would do if the time came: I would look at the individual things that they do and maybe some of the things are good and I know a lot of things are bad. The abortion aspect of it should not be funded by government. Absolutely.
CUOMO: So, you would take a look at it before you’d defund it. That’s what’s being asked for right now. Many in your party are doing the opposite. They’re saying defund it and then look at it. You’d say, look at it first.
TRUMP: I would look at the good aspects of it and I would also look as I’m sure they do some things properly and good and good for women and I would look at that. I would look at other aspects, also. But we have to take care of women. We have to absolutely take care of women. The abortion aspect of Planned Parenthood should not absolutely should not be funded.
CUOMO: Well, you do know there is a big political debate on this and that many women believe you protect them by protecting their right to choose and that’s something that Planned Parenthood allows. Marco Rubio, someone running against you, says that he doesn’t believe in any carve outs on rape or incest, that there’s no abortion for any level no matter what. Do you agree on that?
RUBIO: I disagree with that. I am for the exceptions. You have the three exceptions. I’m for the exceptions. The health of the mother and life of the mother. I absolutely am for the exceptions and so was Ronald Reagan, by the way. There’s nothing wrong with that. You have to do it, in my opinion. Now, Marco took a strong stand. I respect him. He believes that. I have you now it’s just a different thing. I am for the exceptions, yes.
CUOMO: Do you agree with him about when you have a person in the form of the unborn that should have a right to attach to them? He says at conception. Roe V. Wade, as you know, says 20 weeks. There are different theories that other people have. When do you believe that the unborn is a person and deserves rights?
RUBIO: Well, I certainly think as the process goes along on more and more, and a lot of people are talking about the 20 weeks and certainly there. Absolutely, as the process goes along. I am a person that feels very, very strongly about, you know, I am pro-life. I’m strongly about pro-life. But I also feel that you, you go with the exceptions, which, Marco, and I was at the dias I there when he made the statement and a lot of people liked the statement and lot of people didn’t. I was in that room. It was a very strong statement made respect him for it, frankly, I don’t happen to agree. I am for the exceptions.

If there are some "good aspects", they're few and far between.
As I recall, a study of their non-profit financial statement indicates that over 90% of the activity is abortion-related. The terms "abortion factory" or "abortion mill" are totally accurate.
I am certain you and your wife would've been able to find comparable assistance from several other sources.
For Trump to waffle on this subject is telling. His response reveals an "easy way out" mentality and intellectually denies the fundamental truths of Planned Parenthood's existence: It is devoted to the liberal sacrament of abortion and also serves as a laundry for taxpayer contributions to the Democrat party.
He’s less reliable on the issues than Romney and McCain were.
How did I get on this ping list? Please remove me.
Sorry about that. My mistake.
No worries. Thank You. 8^)
“He also revalidates that he likes the exceptions of “rape, incest, or life and health.”
Just like Bush, Kasich, Fiorina, Paul, Christie, Graham, and Gilmore.
There is nothing good about Planned Butcherhood. Nothing.
