CNN ^ | August 10, 2015 | Dan Merica

"I happened to be planning to be in Florida and I thought it would be fun to go to his wedding because it is always entertaining," Clinton said. "Now that he is running for president it is a little more troubling."

Clinton tried to distance herself from Trump, saying, "I didn't know him that well."

Clinton tried to distance herself from Trump, saying, "I didn't know him that well."

I can think of 100,000 reasons why that's BS. And so can her friend, Donald Trump.

DO, I spent the better part of 20 years designing, building and managing office buildings for a major financial corporation.

My projects were in large cities across the country.

My hat is off to Trump because it takes a lot of smarts to develop real estate and bring a project on-line, on time and under budget, and to do it under very challenging circumstances.

The President is the CEO of the American government.

He is not a King, nor the Wizard of Oz.

He is to protect the Constitution and follow the laws and administer the government.

He is a caretaker, not the healer of oceans.

Trump certainly is capable of being the CEO of the American government.

More and more, I believe Trump would bring the best and brightest to DC to fix things.

And it will be the last chance to fix America.

Because the greatest crime for any liberal Democrat is to be friends with a Republican.

We’ve had plenty of businessmen enter politics. John Corzine for one. They usually do a pretty bad job. They’re used to being the boss and ordering people around, not being a public servant who puts their needs below the needs of their constituents. Having conservative values and beliefs that you will stick to is far more important than experience.

Oh really.... are you a prophet?

Explaining that I don't know what Trump will ultimately wind up being, is refusing to be a prophet.

Some of us know what he ISNT...shouldnt that suffice?

Explaining that you do know exactly what Trump will never wind up being, could be seen as trying to be a prophetic.

As for Levin's comments, Trump didn't run third party in 2012.

Who was elected?

Just damn that Trump.  He screwed it up again huh....

Thank you for your insightful post.

Your experience taught you what I could only project based on the dynamics I realized had to exist.

I appreciate you relating your thoughts on this to others.

One point that I like emphasized is the one involving bringing in talented people. Trump has working relationships with high finance individuals. I think it would be great to let some of them sit down and look over “the books”.

I’ll bet they could come up with a lot of excellent suggestions. I’ll bet they would rip a lot of government people to shreds too, for allowing to take place what has.

Could you post that again with your foot in your mouth.

It would be much more fitting.

Trump didn’t run, just as Levin urged.

How was the four years of Obama? Did you and Levin enjoy it?

Here: Here’s that list of your fellow travelers.

I am guessing you have never succeeded in a large business, otherwise you would understand why large businesses donate to all politicians. But keep living in your little pond.

I spent over 20 years arranging the construction loans for these kinds of projects. Anyone who succeeds at this for 30+ years is one talented individual.

Thanks,sjb.

We could self finance. But we were directly answerable to the Board of Directors and our projects were audited by internal auditors every year. We had to account for every dollar. Largest project I had was $80 million.

If the audit was bad, that was a career killer.

I appreciate the input from you two.

It’s good for FReepers to be able to hear from people who have had experience in this area.

It is a business where problems never end. DAILY.

It is a treacherous business made all the more difficult by onerous regulations, and crooked politicians/cronies.
