The first GOP primary debate of the year, hosted by Fox News and moderated by three of their best, kicked off in headline-grabbing style when the moderator team backed candidate Donald Trump into a corner about the possibility of running on a third-party ticket.
But the attacks didn’t stop there. Out of the six questions that Trump was asked, most of them were nothing more than thinly veiled attacks in what conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh suggested was a targeted effort by the GOP establishment to slam the brakes on Trump’s momentum.
While Limbaugh had reported that there was a strong possibility that “big-time Republican donors had ordered to take out Donald Trump,” he and most others assumed the attackers would be Trump’s fellow candidates.
But when the debate wrapped up, he explained that Fox News was the real hit man.

This has potential to be historically earth-shaking. I actually thought some of the Senators and Representatives were for us and am now discovering it is all smoke and mirrors. It is time for the storming of the Bastille.
That what makes his "blood" comments so bad IMO. He got the opportunity to get his views out, and he hit it out of the park. Instead of complaining about the moderator, he and his supporters should be cheering for what he accomplished.
I’m whining about being bullied. I’m the American public....I’ve been cheated out of a debate by a skanky immoral woman who is popular on FR because she flaunts her tits....except I’m not whining. I am seething. I am furious. I want to tear out some blonde hair weavings and bash some porcelain veneers.
It’s a waste of time and effort to get hung up on the media. As Rush says, a “tiger’s a tiger”. The media isn’t going to change.
Trump could have diffused this in an instant by just saying, “I welcome the hard questions. It gives me an opportunity to explain my positions and show I’m up to the task of being President.”
Trump is an attention hog and he’s playing this to keep the focus on himself and suck all the air out of the room for the other candidates. A lot of people are getting sucked in by his ruse.
I agree with both of you. The GOP couldn’t mount an effective counterattack with both hands with a flashlight.
You are giving Kelly way more thought and attention than she deserves. By doing so, you are elevating her status among her peers and are being played by Trump.
If Trump can’t handle her in a deft and sure manner, how is he going to handle world leaders who hate him and everything our country stands for?

I agree trump should drop all further mention of Misss Meggie but I do believe he has earned the right to take his stellar ratings to other networks
Besides, what can FOX do for Trump that he can’t find elsewhere?
Who knows, maybe he can boost CNN and the other alphabets up to beat FAUX and also gain a new audience
Trump is NOT going to get air time on FOX and surely he will not go on with Kelly to make her look more sympathetic. FOX has carried out its objective: Take out Trump or at least divert his agenda. If he fights back on the interview issue, more the better because it makes this about him, not his agenda which is what we want to have promoted.
Meanwhile, note who is their secondary target: Cruz. No real questions except the God commentary. Cruz did well, very well in fact so from here out look for them to begin finding people to chat about his being born in Canada.
The GOPe/FOX has one over all objective now: Get Trump to run as a third party and if possible, have Cruz join him. Clear a path for Rubio, Kascish, Bush, Fiorina in that order. Anyone pro immigration whether dem or not will fit the bill.

I think Foxnews jumped the shark, they attacked their base viewers Thursday night and their base viewers know it. I'll not watch Brait, Megyn or Wallace ever again.

I’m glad to see Trump calling it as he sees it. WHY do people continue to play the ~politically correct language game~ and then complain when someone tells it as he see it. I’m glad to see someone with nerve enough to buck the tide.
He did in fact say that the hit came from Fox.
She said the wrong thing about Trump by siding with Megan, though.
