Fiorina impresses as Trump's schtick wears thin
IBD / Investor's Business Daily ^ | 2015 August 08 | Andrew Malcolm

Posted on 08/09/2015 12:15:01 AM PDT by CutePuppy

Republicans opened their debate season Thursday in Cleveland and produced the beginning of the beginning for a Carly Fiorina surge and the beginning of the end for a Donald Trump campaign. ..... < snip >

..... In the prime-time tilt, Trump was a major loser, coming off as mean and shallow. ..... < snip >

.... Worse, he was the only Republican who refused to pledge no third-party campaign. "If they don't treat me well," Trump said later, "Why should I make that pledge?" As the poll front-runner, Trump had the most to lose in Cleveland. And he did.

But the star of the night was the little-known Fiorina, who totally dominated the early debate of seven. She displayed an impressive breadth of knowledge of the issues, a precision of language, wove in her Horatio Alger bio (office secretary to chief executive of the world's largest tech company) and showed no hesitancy to throw an elbow.

She credited Trump with tapping into a deep vein of American anger: "Americans are sick of politics as usual. The political class has failed you." But then, referring to Trump's Democrat past, Fiorina said, "I didn't get a phone call from Bill Clinton. Maybe because I didn't give money to his foundation or donate to his wife's Senate campaign."

Among those watching that debate and commenting on social media, Fiorina was virtually the unanimous winner. ..... < snip >

..... Trump was, well, Trump. But less so. ..... Asked to explain his companies' numerous bankruptcies, Trump sounded like Clinton explaining her email imbroglio, claiming he did nothing illegal, simply used existing laws. .....

TRUMP creates wealth;
CARLY: creates poverty.

During Carly’s tenure at HP, the stock lost HALF its value.
Investors lost BILLIONS.

They fired her, the stock went up.

So, TO RECAP... She got a job through affirmative action, got fired, and she has ovaries...
Why should she be president?
isn’t one affirmative-action president enough?

Carly believes in man made global warming, Common Core, and makes a lot of great sound bites for Fox News to bash Trump for being sexist. Consequently, no matter how eloquently she snipes, she needs to realize she is on the side of the establishment agains WE THE PEOPLE. As Carly said to Trump. There. Is. No. Excuse.

Carly was a disaster at HP. I remember the insiders groaning when, during her introductory speech as head of HP, she gushed about “synergy” and other business clichés.

If she were to become a viable candidate, her abysmal track record at HP would suddenly be broadcast across the MSM. Right now, she is in the lower tier and not a real threat to anyone.

Fox News will be using sound bites from Fiorina to make the Democrats war on women against Trump. No thanks.

Show me the poll, IBD. Otherwise consider yourself another just another nose-honking passenger in the MSM clown car.

I don’t understand why so many Freepers give Trump a complete pass on his leftist past, but will not do the same for Fiorina. Likely, neither would govern as a conservative. Let’s move on and get behind Ted Cruz, without question, the best candidate of all.

there is a long time to go and Carly lacks the fuel to propel the vehicle

Carly doesn’t have a natural constituency unlike Sarah Palin or that congress woman from minnesota? or was it wisconsin?

Flash in the pan comes to mind except there was no flash, merely an in the pan

By law Rubio can’t be Yeb’s VP, and vice versa.

Did I lie in that sentence? Is Mr. McCain president? Is Mr. Mondale a former president?

'Twas misleading: Mondale was up against Reagan's second term -- and even as a favorite son, only won his home state of far-left-wing Minnesota by about 11,000 votes; whereas with McCain/Palin, despite the noise generated by Feminazis, the problem there was the TOP of the ticket. ("You have nothing to fear from this man as your President..." is as big a lie as "of course I'll respect you in the morning" and "I'll pull out in time, I promise" and now we are good and fscked.")

fsck being a unix term (for "file system consistency check") since major portions of our government databases are in the hands of our enemies, and how many Islamic and or communist moles actively infiltrated into the bureaucracy, judiciary, and GOP.

Full disclosure: Ferraro did not do any help to her cause trying to tangle with the former head of the CIA on foreign policy, and summing up her closing statements as to why she was qualified to be "a heartbeat away from the Presidency" by ending with the smarmy and fatuous "...and I've been a schoolteacher."

That such people as her, or Hillary, or John Kerry, given his known past, are allowed anywhere near a position within the Party, or within DC, shows that either the D&C is knowingly being run by children, or has been subverted by foreign enemies intent on destroying the country from within. Sometimes, it's hard to tell the difference. ;-)

Classic!

There was another sticker going around: “A Bush Will Be Elected VP In ‘84!” Crude, yes.
