Donald Trump's misogynistic rant against Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly led to his Republican primary rivals demanding he apologize for the disgusting remarks.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Saturday hit the motormouthed mogul for insulting Kelly and women at a conservative activists' conference and demanded an apology.
"Come on give me a break. I mean, do we want to win? Do we want to insult 53% of all voters? What Donald Trump said is wrong," Bush said to cheers at the RedState Gathering.
The conference's organizer, Erick Erickson, cut Trump from the roster after the billionaire buffoon lashed out at Kelly, who challenged him on his past misogynistic comments during the first big TV debate of the cycle.
Trump said Friday that during the Cleveland showdown, "You could see there was blood coming out of (Kellys) eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever."
Not very classy or helpful, Bush said.
That is not how we win elections and worse yet, that is not how you bring people together to solve problems. That is not the way to do it," said the ex-governor, who saw himself bumped to second place by Trump's June leap into the packed GOP field.
"Your decision, I think, was the right one," Bush told Erickson, who pulled Trump's invite to RedState on Friday. "Mr. Trump ought to apologize."
Speaking earlier Saturday to reporters after a warmly received speech to the grassroots conference, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz -- who has defended some of Trump's controversial remarks on immigration -- defended Kelly while avoiding a direct assault on the frontrunner.
"I think that's a decision for RedState to make," Cruz said when asked about Trump being barred from the gathering. "I think every candidate should treat everyone else with civility and respect. That is a standard that I try to follow. That is a standard I hope that all of us try to aspire to."
Cruz praised Kelly as a "terrific journalist" who "did a very good job moderating the debate," but also chided the press for focusing too much on the "soap opera" aspects of the campaign over more substantive issues, including foreign policy.
"You're not going to defeat the Washington cartel by obsessing over the politics of personality," he said.
True, but his people owned the country, so I guess he thinks he's entitled.
“Time for people here to pull their heads out of their ass and get behind Cruz.”
Cheering on Trump’s take no prisoner’s / willing to get down in the dirt / not playing by their rules .. is not the same as supporting him for President.
The reality is the conservative base is not enough, at least as it is now, to win the election.
But more importantly we don’t show any signs of reining in the Rino Rodeo.
If Trump can generate enough interest from moderate Democrats and independents i am all for it.
I am hoping Cruz, and whoever his vp is, set the place on fire!
Why isn’t Cruz on top?
Is that Trumps fault?
Unfortunately, Cruz is a nice guy who isn’t making any traction at the moment. One word:Momentum.
That is why i think Cruz needs a vp who can be the “bad cop” to Cruz’s “good cop”
The vp goes where Cruz should not. Cruz does what he is doing. Calming explaining his well reasoned positions.
While his vp is stirring things up.
Forcing the issues that need to be discussed.
Taking the discussion to the edge and if the vp goes to far then Cruz steps in to reign the vp in and to clarify.
Perhaps, the vp should call obama a derrogitory name, especially if it is true, and Cruz should say that was over the top.:)
BULL $HIT Jebby!!!!
Wait until they start attacking you, oh yeah, I forgot, your one of ‘them’ aren’t you?
Just what Cruz was talking about this morning, there are those that ‘belong on the left side’ that are here on the ‘right side’ (my words, not Cruz’s)...
He doesn’t NEED to apologize, if anyone needs to its the ‘two puppets’ and fox ....
Try working in the world business and see just how ‘nice’ they are....shocked you, it would...course you wouldn’t know anything about that, your family have given you the ‘silver spoon’ of life....
My firth thought.
Case in point from an April 2015 Salon article:
A New York Times piece about the Republican presidential contenders time on the Princeton University debate team is making the rounds this morning, with a lot of attention being paid to this passage:
Mr. Cruzs own attempts at humor sometimes missed the mark. In one debate, he proposed a method to detect infidelity, in which God should give women a hymen that grows back every time she has intercourse with a different guy, because that will be a visible sign of the breach of trust, according to a recollection by David Kennedy published in a Harvard debate team reunion booklet in 2001.

Sounds a lot like what they are accusing of Trump of when he said “whatever”, doesn’t it? War on Womyn. It’s coming to a Cruz near you.
Jebi is the new pajama boy - metro male- or whatEVER
Comparing the infant to Kelly one might say he has blood shooting out of him in roughly the same body locations.
Shut Up Jebi. You fickless whosy - you just don’t wish that Thighs and Cackles, Bill’s Hill to become upset with you again. This is Trump’s battle and NOT yours...and Trump knows once again how to play his ‘game’ much better than you could imagine.
jeesh..what a pack of ally *pussys the GOPe has become. MeoW
I don’t know. Seems to me they want to call trump on demeaning women, but it’s okay if a woman tries to demean him.
Essentially, that’s what Megan tried to do.
What could I possibly care about what a man thinks of Rosy O’Donnell?
He’s sitting in the Oval Office, and I’m concerned about what he thinks of her? Really?
Megan seems almost like a ten year old who dreamed of getting her first opportunity to ask a question to larger than life political figure.
Per chance, she gets to ask a question. When she does, she asking him what he thinks of “Linda Fielding”?
Everybody looks at each other and thinks, “Who is Linda Fielding?”
“Sweetie, please ask the gentleman about an important issue having to do with his job.” Don’t ask something important only to your agenda.
Of course its a rival in the same class, a girl who stole the ten year old’s favorite guy in class.
That’s the level of question a long time news info babe is asking Trump. No sweetie, ask him something to do with his job. Don’t ask him about something in your agenda.
Kelly is just a sub-sophomoric child in this instance.
Jeb needs distractions from the real issues. He has been eclipsed, and sees the promised nomination fading from sight.
Fight for our families and for our country.
Fight for our beliefs and our freedoms.
Fight against the DC Cartel that intends to ruin all of us so they can stay in power.
Fight against those who cannot fight for themselves, such as the unborn.
The powers that be have to know we are not going to buckle under and play “elections” anymore.
And if we have to put in a big mouthed, American loving real estate mogul to do so, then so be it.
Seems maybe like we won’t be divided this time. A hell of a lot of people have left the Karl Rove pool party and headed over to Trump’s house for now to party and hang out and hopefully get together with Cruz to get down to some serious “Blood on the dance floor.”
I demand an apology for COMMIE CORE YOU SWINE!!!!
LOL, fYeb.....
Has Jebbie has apologized to Terri Schiavo’s family?
liberals come in various shades
You made me fall out of my chair.
“Did I mention his wife Columbo doesn’t speak English?”
I forgot about that. Right after that “show-of-hands” setup to entrap Trump, there should’ve been another show-of-hands question: “Each candidate whose wife will commit to learning English if she becomes First Lady, please raise his hand.”
NewsMax Poll:
Who won the first Republican debate Thursday night?
Donald Trump 6,991(66%)
Dr. Ben Carson 578(5%)
Gov. Chris Christie 84(0%)
Gov. Jeb Bush 116(1%)
Gov. John Kasich 348(3%)
Sen. Marco Rubio 930(8%)
Gov. Mike Huckabee 349(3%)
Sen. Rand Paul 80(0%)
Gov. Scott Walker 109(1%)
Sen. Ted Cruz 994(9%)
Your mentioning nail polish reminded me of a hint I saw on FB. If you spill nail polish, sprinkle sugar on it to make it easy to just sweep up. Never tried it but who knows?
