If that's so, why do most condemned to "the juice" try to get commuted to LWOP? Well, I don't know what "most" do.
Quite a few off themselves if they get the chance, even if they're sentenced to less than LWOP. You gonna explain that?

He better hope he goes to a Supermax prison because his a$$ is in a heap of trouble inside any institution that let’s him mingle with the general population.
I would bet he lasts less than 3 years.

So, this fag gets free medical, room and board for the rest of his natural life? All at taxpayer expense. Perfect. Want to trade places with him?

So he kills, MURDERS, all these people and the survivors are forced to pay for his incarceration until he dies? Well...had they given him the death penalty the survivors would have been forced to pay for his incarceration till he died, too. This way they just have to pay for it a couple of years longer.

Stinking cowards on the jury. Those who voted for Life should have to serve that same time with Loughner as penitence for their cowardness and spitting on the graves of his victims.

Correction in name!

People in CO are in competition for New Englanders and West Coasters to show their “compassion” for killers.

A violation of God’s explicit command.
Genesis 9:5 Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every mans brother I will require the life of man. 6 Whoever sheds mans blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man.

A big part of me thinks that holding the trial was a waste of time, an even bigger part of me thinks that he should just be tossed in a casket and buried, as that to me is a justified ‘life without parole’ type sentence.
Instead he'll be granted the opportunity to celebrate his 80th birthday in prison, likely with the best psychotic drugs that are on hand, plus meals. Considering what he faces after his death, I guess I'm okay with the jury's results. Time enough for God to met out the justice that he so richly deserves.

Oh great, so now he can spread his culture of death through Islam among his fellow inmates throughout his lifetime.
This guy should be drawn and quartered on live television as a warning to all Islamists.

...Why was Tim McVeigh put to death but this POS gets to live?
They both commited they same crime and should be treated exactly the same way.

So “life in prison without possibility of parole” doesn’t mean what it says??

How About Some "Old Time" Justice! Click The Pic ....in a few short weeks it will be spring. The snows of winter will flow away, the ice will vanish, the air will become soft and balmy. The annual miracle of the years will awaken and come to pass. The rivulet will run its soaring course to the sea. The timid desert flowers will put fourth their tender shoots. The glorious valleys of this imperial domain will blossom as the rose. From every tree top, some wild songster will carol his mating song. Butterflies will sport in the sunshine.
But you will not be here to enjoy it. Because I command the sheriff of the county to lead you away to some remote spot, swing you by the neck from a bough of some sturdy oak and let you hang until you are Dead, Dead, Dead! You cold-blooded, blood-thirsty, throat-cutting, murdering son of a bitch!

NB:There are several versions of Judge Roy Bean's words in this case and also the person who he was passing judgment upon.

If he had been sentenced to death he would become a holy mascot to the left - especially since he is now a Muslim. The leftists would treat him like a hero and you would not hear the end of it. Now at least he will disappear in prison and the leftists won’t have much of a reason to turn him into a celebrity.

LWOP is worse than the juice. Sure it is.
NOT.
Nobody. Nobody. I repeat: Nobody, has ever asked to plead "down" to the death penalty.

Defense offered a plea bargain for life without parole 3 years ago, but prosecutor went for death.
Some Juror(s) obviously took into account his insanity and wouldnt go for the deaath penalty.
...
I can’t blame the prosecutor. Look at how many people want to chop him up, and don’t believe mental illness is a factor.

Exactly my thoughts. The death penalty would be a reminder to other like minded idiots to make them think twice before shooting up a movie theater.

So life in prison without possibility of parole doesnt mean what it says?? Of course it doesn't.
