The Fox News moderators went after Trump harder than any of his opponents during last nights debate. He started the debate on the defensive over his refusal to rule out an independent bid. Megyn Kelly, one of three moderators, then memorably pushed him on his history of misogynistic comments: Youve called women you dont like fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals. Later, she wondered when he decided to become a Republican and asked about his flip-flops on abortion. The other moderators, Chris Wallace and Breit Baier, forced Trump to defend his past support for a single-payer health-care system, his contributions to Hillary Clinton and the bankruptcies of his companies. They also pressed him for evidence that the Mexican government is sending criminals over the border.
There is mixed evidence about how much of a toll these moments, which would be fatal for any normal candidate, will take on Trumps image. But it seems very possible that last night was a tipping point in the Republican nominating contest. Frank Luntzs post-debate focus group, which aired live on Fox, found many voters who supported Trump going into the two-hour event turning on him. Buzz on the cable network and across most conservative web sites broke decidedly negative, including from commentators who have been sympathetic.

I’m glad I missed the reunion of the twin sisters with different hairdressers.
Trump doesn’t sleep. He’s famous for not either needing and/or wanting sleep. Those were his tweets.
Okay, I was just wondering, but, dang - he isn’t superman and has to sleep sometimes.
Or any woman the poster has taken a dislike to, or even women in general, if he’s had a bad experience with one or more.
I volunteer to hold it for her.
She’s just another skanky sorority slut. I never thought those little girls were worthy of any attention.
Thanks for the heads up. The delete button will be used.
I've always thought that she was way over-rated.
Easy to see how that "rumor" could hold some water.
Rubio will gain some at Bush’s expense.
He said that twice, but Joe Sixpack is less impressed by that than the “fact” that he thinks Trump stuck it to the “big banks” while doing so.
You know... I finally figured out the perfect government position for The Donald, and it’s not POTUS...
If I were POTUS, I’d nominate him as the US ambassador to the UN. In that role, he’s REALLY piss them off. Plus he could put that prime real estate on the NYC lower east side on the market and probably get a great deal for it.
Of course, I’d like to see John Bolton back there as my first choice!

Yeah I agree
I guess Ailes figured he might win over some CNN/MSNBC viewers by stooping to that level. It’s all about ratings to him.
Hey it’s cool....I give.
That’s a really good suggestion.
“Im glad I missed the reunion of the twin sisters with different hairdressers.”
Lol. If you have a working remote control, you were probably never in danger of enduring DWS. She’s what the channel-changing function was created for.
Meanwhile Megyn Kelly is working hard to disabuse anyone of the idea that she might be the smarter of the two...and succeeding swimmingly.
I have no doubt that he has the small penis/Napoleon complex.
He's not just a little megalomaniac, he will change the results of his own "focus groups" to cater to whatever network he is on at the moment. I saw it in the'12 election w/Romney v. Obama debates. On Fox it's one result, on the Today show it was entirely different.
Fox News, like NASCAR and the Boy Scouts before them, are the newest “Dixie Chicks”.
The moderators were a disgrace - five minutes of cutesy and unfunny kibitzing while governors, senators and captains of industry stood on the stage waiting for them to shut up. Then two hours of eye-rolling, lip curling snark from three self-congratulatory idiots. Why Kelly even snarked about God! Ive never seen anything like it and Ive seen a lot.

Excellent summary! The moderators performance was sophomoric at best..difficult to watch.
