The Fox News moderators went after Trump harder than any of his opponents during last nights debate. He started the debate on the defensive over his refusal to rule out an independent bid. Megyn Kelly, one of three moderators, then memorably pushed him on his history of misogynistic comments: Youve called women you dont like fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals. Later, she wondered when he decided to become a Republican and asked about his flip-flops on abortion. The other moderators, Chris Wallace and Breit Baier, forced Trump to defend his past support for a single-payer health-care system, his contributions to Hillary Clinton and the bankruptcies of his companies. They also pressed him for evidence that the Mexican government is sending criminals over the border.
There is mixed evidence about how much of a toll these moments, which would be fatal for any normal candidate, will take on Trumps image. But it seems very possible that last night was a tipping point in the Republican nominating contest. Frank Luntzs post-debate focus group, which aired live on Fox, found many voters who supported Trump going into the two-hour event turning on him. Buzz on the cable network and across most conservative web sites broke decidedly negative, including from commentators who have been sympathetic.

Henceforth, let it be known that from this day forward the news network formally known as Fox News shall be renamed the FONZ NEWS NETWORK. They jumped the shark.
So it let be written...so let it be done.
I liked the first debate. It was done in a professional way.The 2nd debate was a joke. The moderators acted like it was all about them.Megyn was a disgrace.
I’m getting suspicious of these tweets, whether Trump is sending them out or not. Look at the time they were tweeted - some came out at 3 a.m., and these are around a little after 4 a.m. Now, that debate was over at around 11:00 p.m. last night - flight back to NY - sleep some, then Fox & Friends this morning - unless he called in - I didn’t see the program. Trump is 69 years old - surely he was asleep at that hour of the morning. SO, I’m wondering if that Cohen guy is really doing the tweeting? Just a suspicion of mine.
Not sure.
I have encountered a few highly successful execs over the years who only needed to sleep a few hours per night and never seem to slow down.
But it’s a rare ability. Sort of Type A+++++
The debate is not a forum for Megyn to bring up her own personal, petty grudge against Trump in an ambush, gotcha question that she and her handlers have fine tune for days, and Trump must answer off the cuff. Abuse of media privilege, and I have lost all respect for Megyn/Fox News.
Above all, Megyn is an opportunist, not a conservative.
What bothered me as much as anything was the way they gave Cruz so little time to talk and Bush so much. No surprise there. I am suspecting that Trump has joined the race so he can steer the boat and give the other candidates the courage to state their own beliefs more openly. That would have been a very different, less interesting debate without Trump. That being said, I’m afraid he may be in cahoots with Bill Clinton, and trying to lure out comments from the other “contestants” that the Left-leaning press will then pounce upon to make the other Republican candidates look like bigots and women haters. Check out this morning at CNN if you doubt this strategy.
Cool, I’ve always wanted Megyn’s personal cell phone number.
Megyn didn’t out-fox anyone, she got her ass handed to her promptly.
Why do debates have to be controlled by members of the media asking lame gotcha questions? Why not just a floor manager state a subject, control time and give each candidate time (say 2 minutes) to state his position, with no rebuttal. Start with lowest rated to highest.
Thank you! I was thinking she had them hidden.
fix the budget of the United States?
fix obamacare so everyone has health insurance they can afford?
fix the border problems and the immigrant problems?
fix our school systems?
fix the problems with this new deal with Iran?
fix our economy?
NO....well then why have a debate....waste of everyone’s time and we all knew there was on person FNC had to protect and that was ‘little Jebby’.....
Some people on twitter are knocking the Trump supporters because Trump has not been hurt in the polls after the hit job from Fox. They are shocked. Rove is all over the place today doing interviews to bash Trump further. This is going to get even more nasty over time because the establishment cannot move the fed up voters.
Before the debate, someone on Fox promised the questions were going to be “doozies”.
Well, that says it all, right there. This debate was all about the moderators. They wanted to promote themselves, not provide a forum for the voters to hear what the candidates had to say. The questions didn’t have to be doozies. They just needed to be straight-forward and pointed questions about what the candidates would do to restore the country.
Megyn Kelly is so self-absorbed that it’s sickening. She’s always trying to show everyone how “cute” she thinks she is....little jokes, smiling, giggling, like people can’t get enough of her. It’s all about Megyn....who cares what the candidates think about anything.
It was because the questions were chosen to spotlight the moderators that the debate was somewhat chaotic.
And that is the only reason I would consider voting for him if he tops the tickets. He's a lesser of two evils in my book; which I swore I was done with. I'd make an exception, because even with his left leaning views he's better than whoever the dem alternative will be. Plus we get the added bonus of him blowing up the GOP-e every chance he gets. After 4 years of Trump exposing the GOP-e for what it is, the country will be better off than it is now, and people may actually nominate a true conservative for the position of POTUS.
Hemmer and McCallum on Fox now with a parade of GOPe mouthpieces slamming Trump and slobbering over Jeb.
It seems Fox has adopted Jeb’s strategy. Like Jeb, they don’t think they need the conservative base to win.
Do I want Trump for President? Not necessarily, but I am enjoying the hell out of the show at this point. My current preference is Cruz/Fiorina but I don't see that in the cards.
OK I give.....
....that was how I remembered it, because Graham has no love for Donald Trump
Have a blessed day :)
Regardless of whether Trump does another debate or not, the topic of how Trump treats women will be the on every Democrat loving news organization.
It is no different for jeb, walker, rubio or rand Paul.
Carly will not be immune to it either.
All need to be ready with an answer that doesn’t make them look bad.
I thought Trump answered the question quite well
Why don’t you just look for it on You Tube? Why would he call Trump a bastard after calling the Megyn questions an inquisition? Even for Linda, that’s a stretch.
