The Fox News moderators went after Trump harder than any of his opponents during last nights debate. He started the debate on the defensive over his refusal to rule out an independent bid. Megyn Kelly, one of three moderators, then memorably pushed him on his history of misogynistic comments: Youve called women you dont like fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals. Later, she wondered when he decided to become a Republican and asked about his flip-flops on abortion. The other moderators, Chris Wallace and Breit Baier, forced Trump to defend his past support for a single-payer health-care system, his contributions to Hillary Clinton and the bankruptcies of his companies. They also pressed him for evidence that the Mexican government is sending criminals over the border.
There is mixed evidence about how much of a toll these moments, which would be fatal for any normal candidate, will take on Trumps image. But it seems very possible that last night was a tipping point in the Republican nominating contest. Frank Luntzs post-debate focus group, which aired live on Fox, found many voters who supported Trump going into the two-hour event turning on him. Buzz on the cable network and across most conservative web sites broke decidedly negative, including from commentators who have been sympathetic.

You mean in catching Trump the Troll?
The Washington Compost praising Fox and one of its minions - has this ever happened before?
Fox should fire Megyn.
That was disgusting.
Just lame.
This seems to me to have been written sometime last week. As far as I could see all day long yesterday on Fox, it was a "Get Trump" pep rally. All day long.
We'll see how 'bad' this hurts Trump, but from my perspective I hope he hangs in there sucking all the air out Jeb Bush's sails. IMO, Fox and the GOP have done nothing but show conservatives what they really are.
Here’s the Uniparty’s propaganda meme for post-”debate” Friday.
In other words, a steaming pile of BS.
Trump did fine with ordinary Americans , much to your chagrin. His answer on bankruptcies probably really connected because it looked like he stuck it to the bank’s while saving his companies. He came across as totally honest, not “DC-ish”. Watch the polls.
Yeh Washington Compost you would enjoy the muck and mire bilge of that horrid debate question. Rats and sewers go nicely together. Queen Megyn is one of your kind—you can have her.
It was not FOX News’s finest moment. The three came off as petty, unprofessional, and not very competent.
It was very obvious from the outset that the three pundits had a joint plan to sandbag Trump. As far as pretty Megyn goes, she’s an opinionated b-—h as is lib Chris Wallace. Had Trump not been on the floor, Fox’x ratings would have been nowhere as high as they turned out to be.
I did find her approach a bit off putting..
Did anyone expect anything else from the GOP Elite’s propaganda machine?
It's pretty obvious that both the Compost and Faux News want Jebbie to be the nominee.
Megyn’s Facebook page: 6,664 comments and counting.

Glo Maloney-Abramovitz Megyn Kelly and her FOX debate pals should be ran out of town for their biased and baited “questions” that we designed to trump Trump. Where did this so-called “PLEDGE TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY” come from? Seriously? As for Kelly’s half-assed attempt wit...See More

Roger Patterson Terrible job last night Megan.

Elaine Stewart Shame on Megyn Kelly, Chris Wallace, and Bret Baier. You intentionally pitted the candidates against each other....for ratings....for self glorification. You aren’t looking for honest answers. The first debate was much better and Martha McCallum and Bill Hemmer asked great questions without trying to inflate their own egos! I was afraid this might happen!

Leigh Kyle McGraw Just. Awful.
The fact that Bill Maher is giving you a thumbs up speaks volumes.

Dan Defoe What a terrible performance. That ‘debate’ sucked. The questions were terrible. You were immature and childish in the extreme. Candy Crowley did a fairer job moderating debates. You sucked last night.

The Washington Post lives in La La Land. They don’t realize that most of us are now totally turned off by corporatist, GOPe RINO Fox Cable TV. They have shown their true colors openly this election cycle, and can no longer be trusted one iota. Trump will go even higher in the polls, and will win the primaries, barring no major dirty tricks by the MSM, GOPe, Dems, and their ilk. Then the Pubs will lose as their base will have left them completely. Welcome Hitlery or just as bad, Biden.
Good. They deserve it.
I will say Trump, Cruz, and Carly will get big bumps because they seem the best.
Megyn truly showed her colors with this question, framed to hint that Trump thinks that of all women, and not to hint that it was in the midst of a Twitter exchange. Shame on her, but I'm sure that the decision was made to go with this line of questioning because it made for "Good TV".
I’m glad they are getting hammered, I thought that beginning stunt was very rude.
