Talks a great game, in office, he's another story.
The Kraut dissed Trump, but at least he gave no props to Bush.
I think Trumps performance tonight disappointed a lot of us. The silver lining to that could be that the support he loses, could very well go to Cruz.
the talking point is out
journ-o-list montage “trump collapse”
I believe Trump does not drink any alcohol is because his brother was an alcoholic. He saw what damage it could do to a person’s health and life.
They are vey stupid because they should be able to see a third party run coming if he is mistreated. And they mistreated him and are bashing him.
Trump definitely survived to fight another day. He doesn’t have to win a Luntz puts focus group and some commie loving moderators to win White House. he has to win us.
Insightful analysis
Trump will go 3rd party. No thanks.
Both Kelly and Wallace had obvious agendas wrt Trump and Cruz. The pledge question at the beginning framed the entire tone of the debate, and you could see the quick change of subject by the moderators when some of the substance started being addressed in some of the questions.
My take on it:
The aim at Trump seems to confirm the rumors about donors telling the candidates (and possibly media) to "take out Trump". Trump did speak a truth about no one talking about illegal immigration until he addressed the subject. I think he hurt himself on the question on evidence of Mexico sending criminals to the US. he would have been better served by making an analogy to Cuba's Mariel boatlift.
Noticable avoidance of Cruz, although he successfully turned around some of the gotcha questions he did get.
Carson did well, actually raised himself in my eyes.
Rubio and Huckabee talked a good talk, but both have a history of selling snake oil.
Walker did well.
Kasich--ok, but I don't think he's going further.
Bush and Christie - no way. Both big disappointments.
Paul--he got some targeted questions as well. Don't think he did that well.
In sum, IMHO: The winners were Carson, Walker, Rubio, Huckabee, and in a minor point (because he was consciously shunned) Cruz.
The debate, IMHO, did give credence to the suspicions that Fox has their favorites - GOPe people like Bush and Rubio. One VERY noticable point was on the immigration issue. The moderators shifted quickly when the candidates began supporting each other on the illegal immigration issue despite the moderators to set the candidates against each other.
Sounds like a Hitler/Goebbels Big Lie operation.
“The tone in all of the questions is terrible. The candidates are just spending their time responding to Charges and dont get a chance to talk about their ideas and initiatives.
Fox is completely screwing this up. So disappointed in them.”
Exactly right!
With the exception of Carson, Trump was up against professional debaters. In Trump’s world he is totally in charge, he makes decisions and does what he has to do to get it done. That is vastly different from the way the others have spent their careers. So I believe it isn’t really fair to compare him directly to the others because actually he has a tremendous record of getting things done - and with his own fortune at risk, not taxpayer dollars.
What is the top criteria you all are considering when looking at these candidates? I was loving Cruz/Carson and Walker wasn’t too bad. Trump is still just so loud to me that it’s hard to take him seriously. Not entirely his fault tonight.
On that opening question of pledge to support I would have considered not raising my hand.
Refusing to raise your hand cannot be interpreted as a pledge. Knowing it was a setup question, that would then force the moderators to single him out and ask individually which would make it an even more obviously a gotcha question.
Well, Krauthammer agrees with the Puntz audience, Trump has collapsed. Lol.
Not disappointed at all with Trump. Krudhammer and Fox trying very hard to convince us otherwise!
Megyn’s arm.
She’s totally clueless about the response to her and they’re still patting themselves on the back.

Before the #GOPDebate began, didn’t the moderators say that 8 million ppl were discussing “racial issues”? What happened to those questions?
Wow, simply stunning. This should be public domain, this is a Presidential debate! Fox is essentially claiming the debate as private property, and if it is then none of the candidates should be dignifying it with their presence.
