Fox Debate Hosts Already Have a Secret Plan to Deal with Donald Trump

In an interview with Politico, Fox News hosts Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace revealed they already have a plan if Donald Trump refuses to obey the rules of Thursday night’s Republican presidential debate.

“Listen, he’s going to be treated like everybody else,” Baier said. “We’re going to treat every candidate the same. Everybody is going to know all the rules going in; there is going to be a sound at the end of their time — it won’t be a pleasant sound.”

“Are we thinking about different scenarios? Sure. Our job is to make sure everybody plays by the rules,” he continued.

But Kelly said they had a plan if Trump refused to stop talking. “We have a plan, but we’re not going to share it with you.”

And, it worked. We all know the first line of BS out of the gate can never be re-captured and penned back up no matter how many “corrections” are made in section “D” page 9 lower left corner. In 10 font.

Yes I think he will try to rekindle the Reagan-Democrats because they will be watching too!

>> He has to watch out for the caricature <<

He can do it. He certainly knows how to sound calm, reasonable, measured and respectful when he wants to. His appearance a couple of days ago on the Hugh Hewitt show was ample evidence, in my opinion.

On the other hand, it seems to me that if he avoids his “caricature” altogether, he may lose much of his appeal to many GOP primary voters who are now so orgasmic about his candidacy.

Therefore, a delicate balancing act may be needed. It will be interesting to see how well he can pull it off.

Megyn will ask, “when did you stop raping Ivana?” That will really bring things to a halt.

The debates are a joke. This is not a debate, the only reason FNC and the other outlets stopped attacking trump was for the ratings. Trump means viewers. Viewers mean ad dollars. No trump no dollars.

Otherwise without trump the debate is as meaningless as a redstate convention WITH joe scarborough. (for those in rio linda scarborough is an msnbc reader who is a leftist rino on a leftist tv channel)

The GOP and America's interests have very little to do with each other anymore.

I am one among a great many who could care less what happens to it from here forward.

Someone has said that Trump’s people evidently read FR. So if by no other means, they’ve learned about it here.

Rest assured, Donald will make a mental note if any of those three snubs him Thursday nite. And in the future, when the snubber is salivating for an interview, Don can give them the same treatment he gave the NH news rag last week.

More bias blathering on about if Trump breaks the rules—when he’s done no such thing.

Bret and Brit, will do as all ‘moderators’, prior to the question OR accusation, go on and on describing the basis for their question OR accusation and when they ask it finally warn them of the time restraints...’be brief’ or what Brit ALWAYS uses when he bumbles and stammers through ‘special’ Report and tells the panel...’quickly’.

I find this nasty.

As I recall, in Obama debates he was treated like a movie star. On SNL when they made fun of Obama’s first debate, this is where they hit. They asked McCain a policy question, then turned to Obama and asked “how are you, Senator Obama, would you like a pillow to make you more comfortable?”

So now they are going to (try to) take down Trump.... And who gets the pillow questions? Jebby?

This can backfire, oh so clever Urinalists.

IOW, they’ll make sure Trump follows the rules but no one else need worry. That’s hardly fair and balanced.

Christie is the jerk who just said you had to be a career politician to be ELIGIBLE to be president. He should take his BS show back to NJ.

(remember when Christi appointed a radical islamist, spoke in favor of homosexual marriage, .... trump may have done liberal things whatever but at least he is not pretending via focus grouped consultant screened BS “magic words”)

He has been asked that question by O’REALLY and he wouldn’t tell him because he wants the inquisitors at the debate to ask it...he has the answer.

Why do they think Trump is going to be the one to want to keep talking? They ALL do it … every time.

Trump is not there to play by the rules. He is there to win the business. Big difference.

I think Trump's repetition of his goals rather than expanding on the process is a habit based on his experience. As the king of his own empire, he realizes, like all good managers, that results are best delivered by employing those best able to deliver. I'm sure Trump is used to developing the vision and then setting loose his managers who are responsible for delivering the results.

I think you're right. Trump's "Trust me, I know a guy" attitude needs to be augmented with a bit more developed explanation.
