I interviewed many black college graduate candidates. They ALL invariably were coached in group form as to the correct answers, demeanor and interview conduct. The prep was good enough to get by an HR person - but not near good enough to get by the engineers they’d have to end up working with.

We kept them (everyone) in interviews with every technical group all day long. Interview training can’t stand up to that.

My group prefers a group interview style. The applicant interacts with the workgroup. Everyone hears the question and answer. Questions don't get duplicated. You get a sense of the candidate's fit with the group.
