This might be the only way to stop Donald Trump
Washington Times ^ | July 27, 2015 | Steve Deace

I was there in the audience when Donald Trump made his unfortunate comments about John McCain’s war record as a POW. (SNIP) Similarly, most of Mr. Trump’s support is people of various factions and persuasions rightfully fed up with being fed up. They don’t care that Mr. Trump is no movement conservative, because they’ve watched most of the Republicans they’ve elected ignore or violate the party platform once in office anyway. Mr. Trump is not their noble champion, but their instrument to strike back against a political party that has betrayed them time and time again.

I wish two things would be released: The Vietcong’s records of John McCain’s massive betrayals against the U.S., and Rashid Khalidi’s video showing Obama denouncing Israel.

The GOP-e would rather defeat Trump than Hildabeast.

In this situation, I can guarantee you that Trump will get more votes than the GOPe candidate.

Yes but, without an electoral vote majority, John Boner's House will just elect Jeb anyway. Although there is always hope for a Burr-Hamilton-style gun duel -- this time on the roof of Trump Tower.

Any suggestion for an Internet Exploder 11 user? Someone else said turn off Java script, but I don’t know how.

Actually charisma can run the country. It has run many countries. Sometimes good (Reagan) and sometimes bad (Clinton).

It wasn’t charisma that Reagan used to run the country.

It was his deep understanding of human nature and the total depravity of government.

Trump, on the other hand is the depraved.

Most accurate article yet.
“because the people running this party have done everything they could to demolish the very Reagan Revolution that once made it relevant again.”

That behavior is also what doomed the Romney campaign. The GOPe could have gotten a moderate nominee through if it had done ANYTHING but run roughshod over conservatives.

I recommend “host manager”. Blocks the sites that the page gets ads from. I believe much of the javascript is in those ads.
Works well for me and has been around a long time.

867V309 sent me a link to how to turn off Java Script in IE11. The site loads in a couple seconds now. Thanks to all.

Just download Firefox to use as your alternate browser. I use IE, Firefox, and Chrome. Sometimes a site won’t work with one of them but works just fine on another.

the problem is that javascript is actually needed for almost any web page that you need to interact with, like any site you want to login to and post to or buy stuff from like amazon.com, reading email, etc., so simply turning off javascript isn’t necessarily a great solution if you use the web a lot for a lot of different purposes.

That article was written about me and millions just like me.

As of today, my vote goes to Trump. I no longer have faith in ANYTHING they say or do, NONE OF THEM.

Au Contraire. He is very charismatic. And charisma alone will win elections.

You said it fellow vet! If A. Lincoln were running today, he wouldn't stand a chance, with that high squeaky voice and homely mug.

I read the entire article and could not discern HOW the author proposes to stop Trump.

Everything I read seems to indicate he agrees with me: Absent some extraordinary intervention, Trump is a shoe in.

"There is absolutely nothing “Reagan-like” about Trump!"

Sure there is. And one that is dead-on like Reagan (I voted for Reagan in the 76 GOP Primary and every chance I got after that).

Trump is overturning the moribund and lifeless GOP far too willing to be Democrats.

Trump is building a new coalition of White, often blue collar, basic red blooded Americans.

Every day I hear from tradesmen that have voted sporadically over the last 20 years. Or, have never voted. Even union men.

Democrats.

They are wholesale onboard with Trump. So are the bulk of their extended families.

That's how Reagan won PA, NY, MI, OH etc.

Very much like Reagan.

Yeah, I have a similar, but I can get out before I have to reboot.
