This week on “Fox News Sunday With Chris Wallace ” Republican presidential candidate former Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) said he will “not be quiet” when it comes to criticizing his rival Donald Trump.
Perry said, “I’m not going to be quiet, when Donald Trump shoots a bullet through Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)43% and hits veterans particularly those that have been captured. I’ll challenge Donald trump. You go tell Marcus Luttrell who was captured by the Taliban that he doesn’t like being around people that have been captured. That is one of the low moments of this campaign from my perspective. I won’t be quiet about that. I will clearly push back and I’ll push back hard because I’ll tell you one thing having worn the uniform of this country, I know what men and women have gone through. I wrote a letter a week from ’03 through 2010 to a parent or loved one of a young Texan who lost their life on the war on terror. I no know what the course of this war is. I won’t let anyone belittle those individuals. I’m going to stand up and push back and I’ll push back hard.”

You know, Clark Kent still looked like Superman when he put his glasses on. Neither do glasses successfully hide the fact that Rick Perry is really Jeb Bush.
If I might butt in, I'd vote for shutting down the House, the Senate, and the Executive Branch. Those 3.

Rick Perry, who I supported in 2012, is getting bad advice. His trashing of Trump, calling him a cancer, was a terrible tactic.
He lost all the Trump supporters (the biggest bloc), forever. And most who agreed with his statements are the more establishment types and they are supporting Walker or Bush - who both will be in it for the long run. They are not going to move to the, um, Perry camp.
Cruz, Fiorina, and Carson are playing it smart. They know that if Trump eventually steps aside, by not criticizing him, they would be the natural beneficiaries.

If you think Trump is the RNC’s baby boy, you dumber than I thought. You remind me of the guy who insisted the Boston bomber was an Al-Quada (sp?) plant who must have been trained to “walk with a Western gait” to blend into the crowd. Sooner or later, Ockham’s Razor becomes inescapable.
PERRY: I have three reasons I’m against Donald Trump.
1. He’s a cancer on conservatism and insulted the fine Mexican people.
2. He insulted our good friend John McCain.

Would someone tell Perry there were many US pilots that were shot down, captured and were long term POW’s during the Viet Nam war. More than a few died during captivity and did not return Would anybody have ever heard of McCain if he hadn’t been shot down and been a prisoner? I doubt that he would have had the political career he’s experienced. Probably would have been career navy and stayed with his first wife instead of dumping her for the blond with her rich father.

Perry made a strategic political error piling on Trump. Most if not all conservatives hate McCain for his past voting flip flops. They want to see McCain out of D.C. He is no friend to the conservative cause.
